Our Crowd - The difference

Fri Dec 29, 2017 10:03 pm

Let’s admit tonight was disappointing, and to me it looks like the injuries are finally coming back to bite us. No need to panic in my opinion, we don’t become a bad team overnight.

Let me put another spin on this though, our support is appalling at the moment, and it’s already been mentioned that the fans can lift the players. If we had 25,000 plus in there tonight, could that have given us the energy and the atmosphere to lift us to get a 1-0 win instead of a 1-0 defeat?

What does everyone think?

Unfortunately you won’t get 25k in to watch that shit tonight

I think we have become a bad team over the last 5 games.

Luckily we scraped a draw against Reading and got a lucky win at home to Hull. Personally I thought those 2 games were papering over the cracks. I was right.

Why do you think 25,000-30,000 fans would be any better?

We had 21,000 odd there Boxing Day and the atmosphere was the worst I’ve been around.

It’s not the size of the crowd it’s what you do with what you have!!

I’d rather 15,000-17000 die hard fans than an extra 10,000 stuck up no clue prawn munching toss pots

The warning signs were there in the first half against Norwich.

Quite frankly the atmosphere was rubbish all game when it was 0-0! Let's get behind the team away at QPR as in all honesty would you want to do well for a moaning old bunch of fans who start booing after a short period oflosses!

10,000 prawn munching toss pots every week could be the difference in getting another few players in.

Doesn't help when half the crowd leave after 85 minutes.
Just when the players are in need of extra support and inspiration all they can see is half the crowd making their way down the stairs to the exits.

Haha

Our couple of quid hardly makes a dent mate, players are bought on league winnings and sponsorships nothing to do with people through the gate!

We’d be screwed otherwise!

At an average of £15 a ticket per game = £150,000 I'm pretty sure we could pay a few players month off that.....x 23..... it's a decent amount over the course of a season. I'm sure the gaffer would take it.
