" Few opinions from yesterday "

Team looked lethargic yesterday after a busy period.

1. Morrison is vital - I do like Manga however there was a few incidents involving him yesterday that didn’t fill me with confidence, the wild lunge in our box which was a stone wall penalty and the fact he just let his man go for their first goal. We have missed Morrison’s aerial prowess in both boxes. Teams know about his aerial threat and concentrate a lot more on him leaving the others to get the goals. We need him back ASAP.

2. Mendez-Laing has been found out - I know he had a injury and isn’t anywhere near full fitness but he isn’t cutting it for me atm. He was a bit of an unknown at the start of the season and teams would give him space so he could run at them. Defenders are now wise to that and are not giving him a second on the ball to turn and go. I feel as if he should be benched for the next couple of games and bought on to run at tired defenders in the latter part of games. Would be inclined to give Paterson a run of games there. Has the ability to score goals and can be used as an outlet in the air which worked fantastically away at Forest. He hasn’t played with Zohore yet either, apart from 15 minutes yesterday, Zohore isnt the best with his head so playing Paterson would allow Zohore to get in behind and use his pace and strength more. Just a thought, think NML is a bit to comfortable at the moment and needs to get his hunger back.

3. Zohore’s season has started - Taken a bit of time and I’m sure he has been more frustrated than we have with the way that his season has started. That strike yesterday was all of that frustration being released. Thought he looked very hungry yesterday and with a few more matches under his belt he will back to his best. Also looking for a World Cup place and hasn’t got long to impress.

The Warnock/Tomlin situation - Very confused with this situation. Not sure if anything has gone on behind the scenes but can easily see Tomlin moving on either permanently or on loan this January. Not getting game time even though he has proven that we create chances when he is on the pitch. Was at Reading and the impact he made was devastating. Was crying out for him to replace Bryson at half time yesterday. Hopefully Warnock will utilise him more going forward but can’t see it mysel

Preston are a good team but key players are returning and could see some surprises in the match day squad. Eager to see Kadeem back. Was great to see Healey back out there.

Mendez-Laing and Holliet looked tired and "leggy" yesterday and both need a rest

Tomlin needs to buck his ideas up.. 15/20 minute cameos are no good for a 2 million pound player

3 players needed to be brought in to strengthen and freshen up the squad

Still confident of at least top 6..maybe top 2

Agree about Tomlin that something gone behind the scenes, should be staring in my opinion.I would also bring in Connolly to partner Manga pushing Sol into that defensive midfield role.

Op is spot on in everything he says especially Mendez

Mendes Laing hasn’t donenit for me since November, he’s looked well off the pace, with little end product. I’m keen to see Kadeem come back and push him.

I don’t think Pelts is quick enough and Paterson isn’t defensive enough at Rb so I’m longing for Richardson to return.

We lack in midfield it’s to light weight and when we break the final third possession is squandered.

The formation needs to adapt, when he brought on Healy there was that one bit on interplay leading up to the second between Healy and Zohore that was beautiful to watch.

Morrison is being missed - I don’t think Bamba trusts Manga and misses Big sean.

The bench was weird - why is Pilks being picked he offers nothing - where was Bogle?! Tomlin still for me is our most creative - he should be used at the start then phased out towards the end of the game to close the game out.

Have to give credit to Fulham and their manager as well. Always seem to do well against us, as does Johahnson, sessegnon (4 in 4 against us if I’m correct) and Cairney has played well against us even going back to his Blackburn days. Take any of those 3 out and I can see why they are we’re tbey are in the table. With a fully fit squad I would imagine they would would be top 4.

Have to agree with all that
Kadeem in for mendez or paterson on wing. Thr midfield 3 are always to similar.

Tomlin needs a run of games.to help him get fit. Warnock is allowing zahore to do this but not tomlin. Think more to it with this one...shame as tomlin is what we might just need

Tomlin a fat waster that's whats going on 'behind the scenes'. Both Bellamy and warnock said he's not fit, it's f*cking Chrismas!

Bags of talent but I'm sorry if he's not up for it loan him out or sell

Exactly how I feel. For a professional footballer, the blokes a disgrace. There was a post on here recently regarding his lack of fitness - which highlighted other players’ deficiancies as well - saying without them they’d be in the Premier League. It was interesting and I agreed with most of it, apart from the Tomlin bit. Anyone can get fit if you put the effort in to your diet and fitness regime.
