Craig Noone yesterday saluted visiting Cardiff City fans

The midfielder ended a five-year stay at the Cardiff City Stadium on the last day of the summer transfer window earlier in the season, but he is clearly still fondly remembered among the Bluebirds faithful.

The 30-year-old was named on the bench for the visit of his former club on Saturday, but made an appearance on the hour mark, replacing Will Buckley.

It was a moment that saw the away end offer a hugely warm reception to the former Bluebird, even urging him to respond with an 'Ayatollah' salute.

He obliged.
