We should be beating teams like Bolton,I just hope this is not the start of a bad run, team selection wasn’t the best either warnock got it wrong today

Not a shot on target suggests your right
Sat Dec 23, 2017 5:56 pm
We crying out for a quality striker
Sat Dec 23, 2017 5:56 pm
I agree
Today would have been perfect for Bamba to play in his defensive midfield role. Halford is not good enough to play that role in a midfield three.
A change of formation was needed today

We don’t have the right to beat everyone.

But the team can't be excused from criticism.

Dando, our players today let us down because Bolton were physical and they need to handle this.

If played Bamba there and Connolly centre back he would have got stick had Connolly made a mistake.

The squad is not strong enough, nothing Warnock can do about injuries, hopefully Jan 2/3 will be brought in. All teams are picking up loses/draws against teams you wouldn't expect, that's the championship for you.

His substitution timing is crap tomlin should been on after 60mins not 70 odd mins no time to influence game, probably why he was frustrated when came on! If he came on earlier he could have created things which is what we missed, also Bolton would found it harder to get up field as well

It felt as if with the selection of Halford the plan today was to prevent Bolton from dominating midfield, hope to nick a goal and then defend like bollocks for the rest of the game.
Should we really be taking that approach against a team in the bottom three?
Once they scored we then bring Tomlin on but it was too little too late.
No shots on target and no real attempt to win the game - just like the Preston and Birmingham away games, we were poor all over the pitch, and that includes in the dugout.

I really couldn’t have summed the game up any better.
No attempt to win the game. Perfect.

Can only asume we played containment football as most stats were equal it was just they scored 2 goals with their only 2 shots on target! and NW obviously didn't take into account giving away a pen?

Assume Zahore didn't get any time today ?
Sun Dec 24, 2017 5:21 pm
I'd rather have ten men on the pitch than have Halford on there.

Exactly, yes we have been terrific this season but you can't just lose one game and go yeah that's fantastic, our team didn't want it as much as Bolton and they deserved to be criticised.
