Starting Halford away against Bolton probably correct decision by Warnock. Sounds like a bruising and scrappy affair so far - while Tomlin can unlock he can’t compete.

0 shots on target and a 2-0 loss says it’s not the correct decision, Tomlin isn’t afraid to get stuck in either. We can’t keep relying on a set piece or 1 of the front 3 to keep producing with limited opportunities. We shouldn’t be going to places like Bolton and trying to compete with them when we should have too much quality for them.

Only plus is Bristol City haven’t won but Derby and Bristol City only 3 points behind now. 2 big games at home now where 6 points are a must

Just read Keanes autobiography, and he says he regretted buying halford he just coasts through games don't work hard enough and the same in training.

Halford had a good game today. He’s a very reliable player who is solid, dependable and never lets an opponent get the better of him. Unfortunately, the rest of our midfield and attacked were kicked off the park today with no protection from the abysmal referee, meaning we couldn’t get any momentum to build attacks and break Bolton down.

Amazing how we see things differently isn't it? I thought he was poor today and played an unfortunate role in their second goal which killed the game.

I think he has a part to play - if we're winning a game he can come on for the last 10 minutes or so to help close out the game but I would never have him in the starting 11. He just does not offer enough to a team trying to win the game from the start.

I thought he was a bad choice to start, and I felt as stated he played his part in the 2nd goal.
Everyone bangs on about not blaming the ref when we lose which I certainly don’t. What I will say is I felt the Ref totally destroyed any flow of the game today ( things that could of been let go to both teams ) 7 yellow cards suggest I’m on to something. We were poor by our standards but hey we started with Halford, no Gunnars no Bryson tbh no real shock we lost. Bogle was limited and poor Laing lacked any cutting edge.
Our best player on the park who has been a revelation this season by a country mile was Toilet.
