I do the carribean but only late Dec, March is good time, best thing to do is go on st Lucia taurist Web site get idea of which is best part to go, there's usually a more popular area to go to. Trip advisor is also good place to get best info but It is expensive so all inclusive may be best option for you! Guess it will cost best part 5k+ for two people all inc.

Ps check about damage caused by hurricane erma.

Cheers Al. We’ve just been offered all inclusive in a 4 star hotel that comes highly recommended by rep and has very good reviews on trip advisor. It’s 4K all in and they’ve thrown in a free bus tour of the island as well as a boat trip.
Good point the hutticane damage. We went to Antigua in October and our resort near St James was hit quite bad.

I’ve been 3 times in Feb/March, it’s a lovely island and a great time of year to go.

Went 2 years ago, very commercialised now and to be honest we didn't feel safe at all. Beautiful place to go but avoid if you can mate.

Funny you say that I visited there around 8 yrs ago (only a cruise stop) and off all the places I visit in Caribbean st Lucia gave impression of being unsafe compared to anywhere else!
Very beautiful but the locals looked very impoverished. :old:

I’ve been to a few Caribbean islands and haven’t found or seen anything different in St. Lucia to any of the others personally.
I’ve walked about, been in and out of the shops and cycled around different areas and the main town of Castries.
It’s the usual thing of keeping away from certain areas after dark, the same as anywhere.
I remember a horrific murder of a British couple some years ago on Antigua.
I found Grenada to be a very friendly island though.

My mates Mother was brutally raped and murdered in Dennery St Lucia about 7 years ago, I would never go there myself.
