These days what is the difference between a professional clubs Manager and Head coach?( I said daft question)
Just with regard to Paul Clement many media articles refer to him as Swansea manager and fans calling for the manager to be sacked.
His official job title is Head Coach not manager. Are their certain tasks not allowed to him? Is recruitment and behind the scene running of the club out of his hands?

Lines have become blured really when describing these rolls! Head coach specifically his job was to coach all areas of footballing matters and advise chairman ect on players he needs to sign ,he ha's little or nothing to do with contracts ect ect just like NW now! It's a European football system adapted here, as for manager roll best example is fergie and busby before him they had total control of all aspects of the playing side wages contracts ect ect no interference from board what so ever. Now we have mixture of both in our leagues. Hope this helps

very good summerization..
i do though think the role of being manager at a club has varried club to club for years. i read a piece last week where big Sam said the day he was called in to be sacked at Newcastle he thought he was being called in to be told they had signed a new player...suggests signing players wasnt his job.
