' SO THIS IS THE AWAY SUPPORT THEY TAKE AWAY AFTER YEARS & YEARS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE '
So This is Swansea's Away Support in the Premier League '
Everton v Swansea City this week
Swansea fans away at Everton

I thought after years and years in the Premier League, a clubs support is suppose to increase?
180 fans away at Everton in the Premier League. how has their original small support built up after all these years in the Top Flight football, Cup glory & European Success?
Birmingham are rock bottom of the Championship, recently taking 2,000 and 4,000 away fans, So No Excuses by the Jacks, they are currently still Premier League and won win and they would of been climbing it.

Wow great support that is lol

That is shocking but they are having a terrible season.
As we know too well, when the owners dont give a shit, the apathy spreads to the stands.

But its Premier League?
I thought many on here said if you stay in the Premier League for say 5 years, you would keep your support?
Well its 7-8 years I think? the Jacks will have been there and for me this is Shocking.
Rochdale,Carlisle,Newport,Fleetwood take more than this away
The truth is the Jacks were never ever that well supported consistently.

I thought it gets a club bigger, more consistent support?
If the Jacks had won they were off the bottom.

You mean the 101 excuses, most them have now gone in to hiding they ran out of excuses
On a serious note, Pompey,Leeds,Villa,Sheffield United,Sheffield Wednesday etc etc not had years of glory(recently) and had bad times now for years, take thousands away, live on SKY
This my point, Premier League does not guarantee, you will get more loyal or diehard fans

They will be lucky to get 8-10000 at home next season when they go down
Tue Dec 19, 2017 7:49 pm
Is it a Welsh thing, do you think? Seeing as we worry about our level of support too?

For once we agree the jacks have never been well supported. They have a very small hardcore that's it.
It's refreshing to see given all the bullshite they used to spout about how global they were and their fan bases abroad.

Small club, small stadium, small crowds, small away fans. This is the Swansea Town way

That's just embarrassing. There are sides in League 2 that take more to away games, and not just the Coventrys and Lutons of this world either......

They've been quite clever.never expanded their small stadium so always been full whilst in the premier league.ours being bigger always looks empty with 20000 in it.
Tue Dec 19, 2017 8:35 pm
Oh shit! I assumed they were in the upstairs bit too!!
In all seriousness, they should have expanded to 25000 a few years ago and captured those extras with muti-season tickets but they didn't.
It's like they are imploding. Aah well. F@ck 'em.

Can’t believe there isn’t even one jack who will post on here anymore?
What a joke, after all the grief they loved to give out about Tan etc...I understand a yank hedge fund is far worse, sold out by their own kind for ££££££ but come on, they could easily escape the bottom 3 again. It doesn’t look like it this year I’ll admit but long way to go yet. Deserting a sinking ship or what? Where is that fool roathie and his 100 different monikers?
Tue Dec 19, 2017 8:59 pm
If you want a laugh, take a look on Planet Swans forum.
I thought our forums were spiteful when Tan was pissing about.

I'm not surprised we hear a lot of crap about them down here in portalbot we are biggar than them and we always think big even when we are rubbish there support has never been big
Tue Dec 19, 2017 9:01 pm

So toxic down there now, even if they did somehow survived his year, it’s coming for sure.

The gypos on Planet Slums were slagging off our attendance on Saturday and saying how we (and the rest of the Championship) play such awful football. And then they take a handful away to Everton!
Even with us now doing so well on every level and the Basement Jacks imploding after selling their soul and still doing nothing about it, the last thing I would think to do is posting on their forum to gloat. Its just plain odd and says all you need to know about the life-failiures who are now conspicuous by their absence. Go Joma White Sox! Ho. Ho. Ho.

If there is a god, we will draw them in the FA Cup this year. Apart from there keeper I don’t rate any of their team at all.
Wed Dec 20, 2017 9:06 am
I suspect most of thier regulars in the PL era are off shopping for Liverpool or Man u etc kits for christmas and the new year now its all gone pear shaped. Fair play to the die hards who did travel as they know deep down it will be a long time before they go to grounds like this again
Wed Dec 20, 2017 9:22 am
I work in Swansea and the amount of people walking away if they get relegated is bizarre, it would be very interesting to see them go down and how they cope etc, but I must admit, if we are able to push on and go up I hope they and the worzels are there as we'd have some great derby games to look forward to!

I've always said many years ago they were a small club and will never be a big club, they just have not got the potential to be big.
This just proves Premiership football does not guarantee to make a club bigger or increase its support in the long term.
