After the match at Bolton on Saturday, we will have played everyone in the league and be halfway through the season.

My honest opinion is NO. I think we’ll finish in the play-offs and get beaten.

I think the same as you. I am sticking to me pre-season prediction that we will just about be in the play offs. We would have to have a really bad run to drop out of the top six, but nothing is guaranteed yet. The problem is the play offs can be a bit of a lottery, and I just hope we don't end up losing out on penalties or something similar. I will hope for the best, would love to see us in the PL, never seen us play in the top flight despite being a supporter for 50 years.

Yes Top 2, I have total Faith in Neil Warnock

I'm going for 2nd place. If we can still be there at the moment with the horrendous injury list we've had, and have still got, there's no reason why we can't stay there.

Toppling Wloves is probably a bridge too far but I see no reason why we can't stay where we are, and if we do it will be one unbelievable achievement from Sir Neil Warnock.

That’s how I see it. I would love to say that I think we’ll stay where we are until May, but I just can’t see that happening. There are teams who have improved a lot as the season has gone on, and I believe they’ll catch us.

Agree with you that missing out due to a penalty shootout would be horrible.

Annis, it’s not that I don’t have faith in our manager. He’s done a brilliant job to get us to where we are.

But our target wasn’t top two, it was top six. I think he’ll get us to the top six, but I can’t see us getting promoted.

Hopefully he’ll stay for next season to have another go at promotion.

You could well be right, but therein lies the beauty of the Championship.......nobody knows what will happen, but as Bluebird fans we just pray it goes our way.

I get your point about other teams improving, especially as those teams probably have more resources come the window than we will have. But it's not just about improvement & resources. I believe we have a team spirit that is streets ahead of any other team in this league, and in this league that counts for a lot more than fans can imagine.

i think we are massively underated by everyone..including our own fans {i include myself to some degree }
maybe we are not punching above our weight, maybe its the players here when NW arrived were punching well below their weight. and with a bit of good man management and a few additions..well.

Heard that a lot but they seem to be coping with it a bit better, ever since we played them funnily enough.

I’ll be shocked if anyone finishes above them.

You could be right, but I do feel we are punching above our weight. I think we’ll be caught.

I think about Derby a few years ago when they were in the top two around this time of year and had a huge points lead over 7th, but finished outside the play-offs. I think we’ll be top six, but I just can’t see us being top two.

Obviously, I’ll be delighted if I’m wrong.

Steve you said pre-season mid table and stuck to that when we found ourselves top of the table after 5 games.

Anyway for me I now believe we have a squad that at its worse is capable of getting something from the best at what this league can come up with. I say this after witnessing our 2 worse performances against Preston and Birmingham. We seem to have learn't from that and that is down to Warnocks management. I feel over the next month we will cement our auto position and will be saying to the rest chasing us catch us if you can.

I felt like this under Malkys winning campaign but this time I don't think we will step off the gas this time.

Hi Baked. Like you say, I did not predict promotion, although I have thought from day 1 that if things go our way a play off place was just about within reach. I still feel the same, I don't think we will be top two after 46 games. Worse thing would be to finish 3rd and fail in the play offs. Here's my post from Aug 1st, and I still think not much has changed.-

think it's a fair reflection of where we are right now. It is unlikely that we will be one of the three Championship clubs who will be playing top flight football in 2018, but hopefully we can give it a good go this season, and perhaps if things go our way we can just about get into the top six. I think we have a real chance of a top ten finish, and with Warnock's experience possibly a little higher.

I initially thought we’d be play off contenders but we are where we are WITH injuries so we’ll be stronger as the season goes on when these guys come back into the squad,plus we have a transfer market too, we’re an attractive proposition!
So I’d go for runners up!
