I think the 5 match card thing goes up to 10 on 1 Jan. Dont think there's much chance of either or both avoiding ban, mind you they might find it nice having boxing day withbtheir families!

In the Football League I think the first amnesty is different to the PL which is as you say 1st January. However in the EFL the first amnesty date is 30th November so both Ralls and Bamba are already on the 10 booking threshold before any suspension will be enforced. The 10 booking threshold is on or before the 37th league match or 10th March 2018.

We hammered Leeds without Gunnarsson and Ralls. There is plenty of strength in depth in this squad.
