West Brom are expected to confirm Alan Pardew as their new manager in the next 24 hours, according to The Sun.

The former Crystal Palace boss revealed he had held talks with Albion officials, who are reported to have offered him a £1m bonus if he keeps them in the Premier League.

Interim manager Gary Megson will oversee proceedings against Newcastle on Tuesday night - with Pardew expected to be in the stands ahead of an announcement after the game.

strange one - he is a decent manager but with a patchy record. in times gone by they may have (god forbid) looked for a promising manager in the championship.

same old names, same old results. to justify sacking pulis, for me it had to be an exceptional manager, which he isn't. they would have been fine over the course of the season anyway.
