The new Wales football home kit has just been unveiled

Monday 6th November 2017

Wales' new kit has been officially unveiled just a few days before Chris Coleman 's men head to Paris for their friendly against France.

After the kit was seemingly leaked online last month , the new home strip is being officially unveiled today (Monday) before it goes on sale at JD Sports and online on Tuesday, November 7.

The simple Adidas jersey has a white trim around the one-button collar and sleeves, with the traditional three-stripe design located underneath the armpit down to the waist.

It isn't a huge departure from the current design, with subtle change to the collar and the placement of the stripes.

The new Wales kit

The shirt will get its debut this week when Wales take on France in a friendly on Friday, November 10, at the Stade de France.

Wales then come up against Panama in a friendly on Tuesday, November 14, at Cardiff City Stadium .

With Coleman's future still up in the air, it is not yet known if Wales' two friendlies will be his last in charge of the men's national side.

The new strip is also a first for Wales - with a women's only kit becoming available for the first time, after feedback from women fans and players.

The decision follows previous criticism that a replica shirt designed for women was not available ahead of Euro 2016, despite domestic clubs and England's women's national side having women's-fit shirts.

Adidas responded at the time by saying the shirts were adult shirts designed for both men and women, and they took consumer and player feedback very seriously and would "always ensure that this is all taken into account when developing future kit designs for next season and beyond".

The kit launch comes after Wales played in a one-off yellow shirt against Moldova in September, which went down a storm with Wales supporters .

They have called it a 'simple' design but unfortunately I think it's just a bit boring.

I like Adidas but they should jazz up their shirts a bit.

Or is it because they are cheap to mass produce??

I wonder how long it took to come up with this design. The Euro Qualifiying kit with green stripes was one of our best kits in a long time.

I got the euro qualifying kit cost me enough I'll stick with that, Smartest one in years imo. This new minimal design looks too much Liverpool. But not that bothered either way!

Hope the away kit will be a better one... the Eùro kit (green and black) was stunning. Wasn't convinced by the yellow one more recent one.
