' Full of hope for the rest of the season '

We might not go up, but after the last few seasons isn't it great just to be in with a shout.

I think with a lot of players coming back from injury now, Tomlin getting a start against Ipswich and the emergence of Patterson we have the squad to compete for the next few months.

A bit of tinkering after Christmas with perhaps a replacement for Feeney who's loan will be finished and maybe one in for Pilks who I expect to leave might give us just a bit more edge.

We've also got a long run of games where I see nothing to fear and am hopeful of a decent points haul.

Brentford up next and although they are the form team, they looked vulnerable at the back against a Leeds side who don't have the options up front we do and who also may struggle a little physically against us.
Then Barnsley, never an easy trip, but a side who are struggling. Forest, inconsistent and a place we often do well. Norwich at home, no mugs, but struggling a bit in the last few weeks. Reading away, inconsistent again.

Hull at home, another side short of confidence.

Bolton away, picked up a bit, but there for the taking.

Fulham at home struggling against teams who press them and Preston who are dropping like a stone.

Then onto QPR who again should hold no fear.

I'd hope to get 20 points from these 10 games, which should keep us in touch

One place we do need to strengthen even if it's just a short term loan is left back.

Peltier struggles there so with Richards ( who's also a right back anyway ) injured we are totally reliant on Bennett and when he's injured it has a big effect on our system

"Punching above their weight"

That's all I hear when really we are where we are due to being a good side.

Any losses we have had are not down to being beaten by the better side but on us not turning up or things going against us.

We have enough about us to continue to do well and with several players coming back from injury we will only get stronger.

Teams will not want to play us, that's a fact.

Another roller coaster but my oh my it's enjoyable for once!!!!

Driving home i was surprisingly upbeat. Up until the sending off i thought we'd at least get a draw against the 4th placed team.

Recently, it was good to see Vinny at the ground as he'll need to sort out some cash for the next transfer window for either a transfer or a decent loan

It will be fun

I've been saying for week's here comes a good run of winnable games, and we have so many good players to come back. I've been told Warnock has been promised backing in January, it's fairly obvious him and Vinny are going for it.

I'm pretty confident we will finish in the top two, probably with Wolves, but time will tell, it's going to be a great 6 to 7 months :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Still struggling to understand if we are going to play a defensive 3 (Morrison, Manga and Bamba) with wing backs, why NW is persisting in picking Peltier? He’s solid defensively but woeful going forward. Bennett is better but still doesn’t link up as well as Patterson. Personally I think we’re stronger as a back 4.
Until Jazz returns, I’d stick either Bryson or Ralls in there. Both are more mobile to get up and down the flanks. This will give Damour the opportunity he rightly deserves in the centre of midfield. Mendez-Laing is also on the wrong wing. He was superb earlier in the season on the left cutting inside onto his right peg. He’s less of a goal threat out on the right.
Finally I think we need 2 up top. Big Ken needs someone with him to help either create or link up with.

4-1-3-2

......................... Etheridge..........................
Patterson........Morrison......Bamba.....Ralls/Bryson
......................Damour/Gunnarsson..................
Hoilett...................Tomlin............Mendez-Laing
....................Zohore........Ward......................

We are handling the bigger physical teams much better this season it's part of what has turned our form around, much tighter at the back, not as reckless going forward as maybe the last few years although we are still all about moving the ball at pace on the floor and committing men forward. Going to be a good test for us at your place, apart from our first season back in the championship we have not played well at Cardiff, we can never really get our game going at your place.

Fancy us to surprise a few and be there or there abouts for the play off's this year

Come on you Bee's

I'm loving this season and that's down to NW, his backroom team and the players who have represented us in the first 16 games.

If you look at the League table we have beaten the teams currently in 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th and 10th, drawn against the teams in 7th & 11th and lost once to the Wurzels (4th place) where we had every chance of getting a result, even with 10.

Forest in 9th and Brentford in 12th are the only teams in the top half of the table we haven't played so I cannot believe anyone would have turned down that level of results after 16 games before the season started.

Whatever happens between now and May I'm looking forward to every minute and like you I'm full of hope that this season may well be a special one.

It’s great to still be feeling optimistic about the season. I still think 4-2-3-1 would suit us better though and would give Tomlin freedom behind a striker with 2 defensive minded midfielders behind him to give us a base in midfield.

When does Kennedy’s loan finish?

Etheridge
Paterson Bamba Morrison Bennett
Gunnars Bryson
NML Tomlin Hoilett
Zohore

Leaves - Camp, Jazz, Manga, Ralls , Harris, Bogle, Ward ( and more ) to pick off the bench...

We have a really strong team and If we can strengthen in Jan I can't see us finishing outside the top 6.
I think Wolves will pull away eventually but 2nd isn't out of reach. :ayatollah:
