My View / Opinion of Today

Bristol City 2 Cardiff City 1

Really disappointed today.

A compounded series of incidents contributed to our loss.

(1) unlucky to lose Mendez-Laing.

(2) stupid and unnecessary tackle by Peltier that caused him getting a yellow card which in turn had a clear effect on him not putting a tackle like he normally does which lead to their first goal.

(3) who the hell was marking the 6'6" Flint for their second goal?

(4) Pack should have been sent off for a 2nd bookable offence

(5) Bogle's justified sending off (on Pack) - in the middle of the Pitch was plain stupid and was instrumental in us losing the game

(6) Warnock delayed bringing on Tomlin way way too long. At the same time we must give full credit to Bristol City - their players and manager for doing a professional job on us .

Pretty much agree with all that

All I would add was that Bogle was probably our best player up until the red mist descended and he lunged in on Pack. Had he been given the foul he deserved 2 minutes earlier it could have been a different game.

I wouldn't put Bogle as our best player, and I don't think he jumped for more than one header.
He ducked for most of them and for the foul mentioned earlier, he didn't challenge at all and collapsed on the floor....the view from our stand anyway. The ref thought the same.
He is improving each game however. Shame about the sending off.

A number of things lead to an away defeat to an in form team, but it was arguably our toughest fixture for the next three or four games at least and with 10 men we came mighty close to nicking a point, overall a bad day at the office but upwards and onwards for city.
