MY VIEW BRISTOL- OUR WORK CUT OUT :

On paper we are better than Bristol City and on paper they are in a false advanced position in the league. However, looking @ them in this manner is very false. 'LIKE US'- they 100% deserve to be where they are and are deceptively dangerous, because:

(1) they are organised, disciplined and play as one unit - a TEAM.

(2) they have one hell oe an ATTITUDE.

(3) they are outstanding at SET PIECES - and have Flint (6'6") who will start and Juric (6'7") who will come off the bench if needed.

(4) they are SUPER FIT and will work and run the whole 90 minutes.

(A) they have 2 dangerous on form wide players - Paterson and O'dowda who are envolved in everything and make them tick - their answer to our Hoilett and Mendez-Laing.

(B) I very much suspect that they will start with the 6'7" Djuric as the loan striker instead of Reid - this is to counter and deal with our style of play.

Bristol City can vary their formation , but against us I am pretty certain that they will start with 4-1-4-1 . With Pack sweeping in front of the back 4 and Reid as the lone striker.

Conclusion: WE HAVE OUR WORK CUT OUT. If we do not match their teamwork, attitude, fitness and be 100% alert at set pieces- we will lose. If we match those qualities and with the help of us fans - WE WILL WIN !!

This will depend on what players NW will have at his disposal??

IMO I think he will play with 3 centre backs and 2 wing backs. At least gives us height and power!

They will try to rattle us early on but we will enjoy being the team to hit them on the break, so should be an interesting match :ayatollah:

Spot on Annis , they have some great players this season we need to match them for effort straight from the kick off . If we get at them early like Leeds did I'm confident we can grind out the rest of the game . They will run and run all afternoon for Johnson at the moment and have a lot of momentum behind them .

Fancy a big battle between Sol and Djuric , just hope Gunnars and Ken start for us as they will be the difference between a win and a draw .

Tomlin to come on and seal the win with a worldy in the second half !

Your right there they will give everything for Johnson, this is a very even match and a tough one for either side.

You could replace Cardiff and our players names and write exactly the same words. It will be a tough game. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Going to need a bit of magic/stupidity from someone to tip the balance one way

Fair play to Lee Johnson he gets his team playing good football, but I know we tend to show up for these big games and put in a performance.

we are doing ok on the road and Ashton gate is hardly a fortress with just 3 home wins there for them this term..happy with a point though...

Very well put Annis, but as JayCee said, you could swap names and it's the same story. I'm under no illusion that this is gonna be a tough one.......but I think there are three points that could tip the balance in our favour:

1. We have not failed to rise to the big occassion this season and I don't see it starting now.

2. We have a wily, experienced and exceptional manager in Warnock whereas LJ is still learning his trade. In Warnock we trust.

3. We have the biggest following at Bristol for many a year and if we are half as loud as we were last year that is definitely a twelth man.

The game could easily go either way but I have a sneaky feeling we will shade it and win. I hope I'm right. :bluebird:
