Bogle: “I’ve been training hard”
By Sam Law

Wednesday 1st November 2017

Fresh from his first goal in Cardiff City colours, Omar Bogle spoke to the assembled press and media.

“I’m buzzing,” Bogle began. “Obviously I’ve come here and I’ve had to be patient to get an opportunity with the team doing so well.

“I’ve been training hard to get fit, and be ready for my chance. It’s good to come in and score along with the win.”

Bogle went on to discuss his reasoning behind joining the Bluebirds.

“With me not having a full pre-season, since I’ve come here I’ve been working hard to try and get to the level that the boys are at and the level where I can play week in, week out.

“I spoke to a lot of players who have played under the Gaffer and everyone has got good words to say about him. Nathaniel (Mendez-Laing) was here before I came and he’s one of my good friends so speaking to him there were loads of good words.

“It wasn’t about going somewhere for more money. It was about going somewhere and working with a manager that was going to improve me and take me to the next level as a player.”

Love to see players like Bogle given a fair chance to show what they can do and he can only better under Warnock. So many are signed are released too early remember Gestede he was a prime example ok no Kane but did alright for himself after moving on.

The confidence he will have if he starts against the Wurzels and nets a couple.

I think bogle is more of a natural replacement for Zohore than Ward is. Given our style at present we need to tweak it a bit more for Ward. If Warnock doesn’t want to upset the familiarity much then bogle makes sense and clearly isn’t going to be completely useless!

Ward when he came on was also excellent.
