' TWO MORE CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGERS FOR THE SACK? '
Its so tough the Championship, every chairman / fan expect a quick return to the Premier League or expects to challenge for promotion.
More big names likely to be sacked yet again.
" SIMON GRAYSON VOWS TO FIGHT ON "
Simon Grayson vowed to carry on as Sunderland manager after Bristol City became the latest team to leave the Stadium of Light with three points.
"I will continue to work as hard as I can and hopefully we will get results and it will change very quickly. After 12 years and 600-odd games in management, I know what can happen if you win games."
" JAAP STAM HAS JOB CONCERNS "
Reading manager Jaap Stam faced up to the prospect of the sack after his side's woes continued following a 2-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough.
About his job security, Stam said: "If people might think to make other choices, that's how it is. I like the club very much but if somebody else can make better results and do it better, then (the board) need to make that decision.
"We all work very hard - the team, the staff, the players - but if there's someone out there to do it a lot better, then that decision needs to be made."

to be honest, in this day and age i'm surprised grayson has even been given 14 games (how sad is that).
i would have thought he'll be gone soon, and certainly if they lose against bolton.
as for stam, he had a decent season last year if i remember correctly. they've obviously been poor this year and it seems he's a dead man walking.
as a side note - how can fans / clubs expect their manager to be loyal, when they are almost always sacked if they have a poor run, even if they have done well previously?

i dont think Monk is safe either.
we want to smash this division and go up as champions is what Steve Gibson said..he cant possibly be happy with 12th.

All three of the above mentioned (Monk included) must be on a sticky wicket currently but Grayson (for me) is the one most at risk. I was surprised when he was appointed and results since his arrival have hardly shown he is the man for the job in the short, medium or long term!
Quote (Grayson):
"After 12 years and 600-odd games in management, I know what can happen if you win games."Well, after 12 years and 600-odd games in management, he should know what happens when you don't win games!

agree - most savvy managers know the sunderland job is a poisoned chalice, and although on paper a club of that size and budget should be a plum job - it isn't. if and indeed when grayson is sacked, a top manager will only go there for top £££.
