' I hope I am wrong, but I fear trouble this Saturday as their is obvious potential for trouble.
Cardiff v Millwall at 3pm and Millwall bringing a large following of over a 1,000 fans, with many lads and with the boxing afterwards (Joshua fight 80,000 ) football lads from all over the Country are descending on Cardiff all in the same City Centre.
I am very surprised that the Authorities have allowed all this to go ahead on the same day and really thought they were going to change it, at the least times anyway or even days.
I really hope I am wrong and the Authorities will have everything totally under control, they spend fortunes on intelligence, so they will know.

Good point, loads of lads out, Millwall down in numbers, Cardiff lads out on the town, could be a busy night for the old bill.

I think if there is trouble it wont be CCFC v Millwall related just pissheads at the boxing, but I bet the football will get the blame!

Exactly this, groups on the piss all day and night at the boxing testorone through the roof and it'll get linked to football clubs.

And Millwall will have a lot of lads with them, plus other football lads will be in town.

Jason, personally I believe it was madness to let both events happen on the same day and will be very costly regarding Police costs etc.
I have also heard of many other groups of lads from different clubs coming.

Be plenty of city fans at the boxing! Should be an interesting day/night.

'Lads'

can we change the word to morons please??
Thu Oct 26, 2017 4:43 pm
There will be boxing and martial arts clubs from all over the UK in Cardiff Saturday.
If pissed up football lads are looking for trouble I think there will be plenty of takers.
Thu Oct 26, 2017 5:47 pm
This is madness. There is always a nutty element at the boxing who are on the piss all day. Throw in the footy and it could get nasty.
Not a time to go into town with the missus for a meal out.

I am attending both, hoping that I don't see it and stay away from it all.. could be a good weekend if everyone behaves.

As most know within boxing there is alot of crowd trouble at the best of times
One millwall chant in the wrong place and it could go off , let's not forget there will be a lot of jacks there along with many more from the whole of England
Thu Oct 26, 2017 8:03 pm
Tank and the swansea boys are going ive heard that they are leaving for Wembley Saturday morning
Thu Oct 26, 2017 8:45 pm
boxing does seem to attract some unruly behaviour over the last few years it seems . not sure if it made the national headlines but in the midlands someone was killed at a boxing match only last week when clashes from 2 sets of fans from derby and Walsall clashed in and outside the arena . some video footage too
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/mi ... s-13765902lets hope Saturday goes without incident

The simple fact is whoever gave the green light for this to happen is taking a light view of the potential for trouble, both sets of fans have a reputation of social unrulyness, it's a notorious fixture for the police to control, so after the game both sets of fans have the rest of the evening to get pissed up.and hit the town plus there are thousands more travelling down for a big night of British boxing,if there is trouble there then I've no doubt people will say it should never have been so but it'll be too late then. My advice is don't look for trouble because plenty will offer it.

They won't all be "morons", just like they won't be "lads"
I hate both those terms when discussing football supporters, as there is a huge mix of society in each group! Let the Courts and the Police 'label' groups to suit their own agendas and let football supporters be football supporters. Some will be idiots but most will behave and watch the game!
