Dundee Utd have received over 50 applicants for managerial vacancy after Ray McKinnon’s sacking on Tuesday, according to Sky Sports News.
The Scottish Championship club are currently drawing up shortlist and hope to begin interviews in the next 24 hours.
Coach Laurie Ellis will take charge for Saturday’s game at Dumbarton, though, with United hopeful of making appointment in time for home game against league leaders St Mirren on November 4.
