" MARK HARRIS "

At only 18-years-old, Harris was a cut above on Monday evening against Watford and was a constant thorn in Watford's side.

Harris is a player already knocking on the door of the first team and will already be in Warnocks mind :thumbright:

His positioning and desperation to sniff out a chance at any opportunity was very impressive, while his ability to read the game meant he was constantly on hand to seize upon any loose balls in the final third.

Two goals was the least he deserved for his efforts, but if there was one big criticism you could lodge at his performance, it was that he wasn't clinical enough to extend his tally.

He looks a very bright prospect, but perhaps a loan spell away would be beneficial to his long-term chances of a senior breakthrough.

Mark Harris is contracted to Cardiff City till July 2019.

Along with the likes of Coxe, a really promising player. I think a loan spell with a league two club would really benefit him physically. It certainly worked for Ralls.

Coxe after the cup game is no where near ready for the step up, but like you said a loan could do him well.
Where as Harris, i wouldn't be disapointed to see him on the bench now and again.

I agree Coxe was well out of his depth in the League Cup vs. Burton. I wouldn't give up on him it's just that he is definitely not ready for the first team and would obviously benefit from a loan deal, Newport County seems to be an excellent proving ground for our youngsters.

Harris is coming on leaps and bounds and should get a run out in our 3rd round FA Cup tie in January where we will learn a bit more about him.

I'd love it if this youngster comes through and eventually makes the grade with us. Would be brilliant.
I know he's Welsh but can somebody tell me where he was born? (Please don't say Swansea!). Also is he an out and out striker, a no10 type player or an attacking midfielder?

I haven’t seen much of him, but I believe he’s a centre midfielder. He played in our last away game of last season at Wigan. I remember reading the match report saying the game passed him by, but that experience will hopefully bring him on and he will hopefully keep progressing. Hopefully he can knock a few more goals in and will become a goal scoring midfielder for us.
