' Interesting Cardiff City's Players Contracts '

Which Cardiff City stars are out of contract next summer and how long do other players have left on their deals with the Bluebirds?

Cardiff City have 9 first team players who will see their contracts with the Bluebirds expire next summer.


Among those are high profile stars such as Icelandic warrior Aron Gunnarsson and Canadian international Junior Hoilett, with the latter's recent contract extension only keeping him in the Welsh capital until the end of the current campaign.

And Neil Warnock will also see the contracts of Brian Murphy, Rhys Healey, Frederic Gounongbe and Greg Halford run out at the end of the season.





But there are other Bluebirds who are also in the final year of their contracts with the club.


Matty Kennedy, Declan John and Ibrahim Meite are all out on loan with Portsmouth, Rangers and Crawley Town respectively but will see their current deals with the Bluebirds expire following the conclusion of the 2017-18 campaign.

But Kennedy's Pompey team mate Stuart O'Keefe will still have one year to go on his Bluebirds deal when his loan at Fratton Park expires next May.



Two deadline day additions - the loan signings of Liam Feeney from Blackburn and Craig Bryson from Derby -



Bruno Manga, Lee Peltier and Kadeem Harris all put pen to paper on deals during the close season to stay with the Bluebirds until the summer of 2019 while Sol Bamba, Kenneth Zohore and captain Sean Morrison will remain in Cardiff until 2020 after agreeing new terms earlier this year.

I thought Hoilett signed a two year deal?

If we are in with a good chance of automatic promotion in February/March I would expect any player whose contract is up will be anxious to sign a new deal.

Gunnarsson and Hoilett are the only 2 I would likely keep on. the problem with Gunnarsson might be his wages as I think they are pretty high but id like to think we will get Hoilett signed quite quickly as I bet his value right now is somewhere between 3-6m, and to lose him on a free would be hard to take.
