I think for a club of derby size that is poor ,30k home crowds and their history ,not that far to travel

I agree brilliant home crowds week in week out, but why I am praising their away support is because they have always been crap away and their last visits over the yrs have been only 450, 600 , 500 etc very poor, so I was surprised to hear so many sold.
They once did bring about 1,600 fans.

Their home support to be fair is quality as they never do much on the pitch, virtually always let their fans down.

When you live in the midland the maximum travelling time is 2.5 hours, we consider that a local derby !!!!!!

Sunderland have the longest trips mate, I think it's between us and Boro next.

Out of the 10 longest trips in the champ, Sunderland are involved in 8, ours to them is the longest and ours to Boro is 4th longest

That was a midweek mind, 3 days after Leeds away. Similar to a couple of the low midweek followings of 4-500 you mentioned Derby have brought here

We took about 1100 last time we played there on a Sat
and I'm sure it was 1500-2000 on a few occasions before that.

I am fairly sure but not 100% that after Norwich and Ipswich that are slightly further we are their joint 3rd longest away trip of the season 155 miles with Sunderland  which is mental when you think its classed as a fairly close game for us.

I think the London Clubs are of a similar distance but obviously easier to get to due to the train service.

Derby normally average out over 2,000 a game on these tables of average away crowds come the end of the season. A trip to Cardiff is obliviously seen as a long journey to them and not a top priority for a lot of their fans.

I think they took 1500 to Sunderland Friday Night, opening day plus took thousands to Bolton 70 Miles and Sheffield Utd 47 Miles, they got Leeds coming up 70 miles, no wonder they can't be arsed to come here to be fair.

That's a fair point. I just looked at some old programmes and at least half of their recent trips here have been midweek.
When it comes to averages though we have no chance when Midlands and South Yorks clubs all have loads of short trips, often to clubs with big away ends and with no fuss about RVs etc...

Iv been to the new place twice, first time last day of the season can't remember how many went but it was 2000+ and then when Young/Gabbidon were in charge and we had 1,500, two good trips to be fair, enjoyed them, I'm sure our last two games up there have been Tuesday nights which is a shame.
