Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock reveals he offered Joe Ledley the chance to train with the Bluebirds

During his pre-Derby county Press Conference, Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock told the Press that he had offered Joe Ledley the opportunity to train with the Bluebirds but was unable to offer a contract before Christmas.

Neil Warnock: "I like Joe, I spoke to him and told him more than welcome to train with us but we couldn’t do anything until Christmas.

"But he’s for a fabulous club at Derby and he can be pleased, but unless the Gunnarsson situation changed he wasn’t the type of midfielder I was looking for but he scored the other day he proved me wrong."

"He was a bright light for me at Palace, no problem with him, delight to see him in training, a manager’s dream, whereas I didn’t enjoy some of the players at that level.

"I hope he enjoys his day because I like him as a person and player, but he wants to win and score a hat trick if he could so we have to try and stop him.”

Hasn't he only signed until Jan? could this mean Warnocks still keen after this point as he should be fit?

Maybe he's looking to sell Gunner in Jan and then replace him,rather a Gunner than Joe!

you can never rule anything out in football..but telling Joe we cant do anything until xmas was telling him to find another club...surely.?..especially with Joe being a free agent all summer and us signing..how many players..?
