No chance will we get near 25k Saturday, the lure of the top of the table clash and especially the £5 were the main pull.

I would be delighted if we can get some of those fans to come back though, I think if we can get 20,000 it would be brilliant

Re: " NO IF'S NO BUT'S "

Annis,

I think the issue with some people is that the atmosphere of Ninian park and/or the rebrand has made people lose interest.
I don't really enjoy home games as much since the rebrand personally.
I do still attend games home & away but for some reason its never the same as it once was.

We talk about the atmosphere at Wales games being brilliant so I don't understand the city situation.

We should get 25,000, there is no excuses. But the crowd will not even be 20,000. We will get around 18,500 tops unfortunately

Wayne, If that happens my personal view is that, that would be very very dissapointing, but I would be shocked if it was that low, as surely our fans don't just turn up once or twice a season and as many say, crowds should be bigger on Saturday afternoon :thumbright: :thumbright:

Luke, City can't just keep giving the matches away for virtually nothing.

I have paid £23 for daughter and myself in the Ninian Stand, excellent value :thumbright:

City fans paid £30 in the Prem for an adult tick and £50 for an away ticket, All sold out, no matter what.

Liam,
I agree, 100% it is not the same since we left Ninian Park and the Rebrand was the final nail for many.
I don't feel the same, but they are still my club and they need that 12th man :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

But We still sold out in the Premier League.

Darren, I honestly would be shocked if it was that low and very dissapointed.

I can't see why it should be, other clubs in our possition would be packed to the rafters.

There's no chance of 25,000 might just get 19,000 which is not great but still about 3000 more than our average attendance last season so a 20% increase is reasonable if not spectacular

Re: " NO IF'S NO BUT'S "

Wed Sep 27, 2017 12:48 pm

I was surprised by tbe large crowd last night as previous deals only produced around 4k extra fans! Last night was about 12k extra, yes top table but on tv midweek it shows can get crowds if situation arises, 20k plus on sat be good hopefully momentum building and crowds consistently above 20k now :old:

Wish I could be there but money is tight.

A great chance to go into the international break top of the league and on 26 points.

Cardiff will always be my club because I was brought up to support your local club through thick and thin.
I don't think ill ever get the same excitement as I used to unfortunately. not sure why as this is the best football I've seen us play I think!

Cost don't make a difference because you'll always get a decent crowd with the likes of man city, Chelsea etc coming to Cardiff.

Cheers Tom :thumbright: I booked another couple of flights today, so booked up right up to including Reading home on final game of the season on Sunday Cardiff v Reading, although I don't like Sunday games in Uk as won't see my Children all weekend. So hopefully not many more of them as My Children come first.

Prices are very cheap anyway, last night they were virtually given away and No club can sustain that. City fans paid £30 and £50 in Premier, so poor excuse.

Yes hopefully Xmas half season tickets go well :thumbright: :bluebird:

It's doing my head in now people going on about poor attendances,we are basically a 18/20k club that is doing well and 10/15k struggling Championship level.

But 30,000 if we play Premier Clubs and then they are welcomed, I prefer if they supported us now, not just come for the opposition in the Premier Division. Support your local club Cardiff City, No matter who we play :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Sounds great mate, hopefully a promotion party for you then

The £5 deal is amazing. I just don't think the Championship is attractive enough at the moment to pay anything more than £20. Towards the end of the season we'll probably pull more if we're in the mix...plastics :old:

People will only pay for Premier football unfortunately, fickle fans !

Agree with you but it's not going to happen.Im starting to get to the point where I wish the club would stop doing these £5 offers.
You either want to be there or you don't,and if you want to be there then pay the going rate!
Sorry if sounds a bit negative but we just don't seem to have the fan base that actually want to go and watch City live.
Sad but true .

As I have said before Wez and repeated many many times as you know, I have studied crowds since a kid and love them, the stats etc.
If your not interested don't let it bother you and just don't read them, in fact all I am doing is building the games up and hoping for bigger crowds down there.

But I would love City to get bigger crowds and the more there, the more atmosphere, more behind the team and the rest of the Country looks up at us.

Last night I was in a pub in Santa Ponsa, full of different fans including Leeds fans and everyone praised our crowd, that felt good :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

I grew up believing we were a massive club and believed all we needed was success on the pitch and we would be up there with the big boys,I actually honestly believed it,but over the last few years, I have prob been sadly proven wrong.

thats how football works though..
we have had 1 single season in the prem...ONE.and finished bottom
at the start of this season out of the 47 clubs to play in that league we have won the least premiership games and scored the least premiership goals .
thats 46 clubs who have done better than us over the last 25 years or so...are there 46 better supported clubs.?..no.
honestly i think if we had 5/6 years in prem and our crowds were what they are now we could moan..but not now.

I hate the play offs! NW will just have to sort automatic promotion out for us :ayatollah:

And they pull an average of 2,861 in a 7,850 seater stadium. I don't think it's bad value for money at all and to be honest people should've bought season tickets anyway due to how cheap they were - there was even finance options available! Unfortunately people didn't do that because we didn't spend much money on players probably, but I'd have done it just for a Neil Warnock team to be honest :thumbright:
