Being rested is not being dropped

Were Bamba and Hoilett rested or dropped for the Sunderland game? I think everyone would concur that they were rested. As NW has said, expecting players to perform at the same high level of intensity several times a week is asking too much in many cases. And....the resting of two key players proved absolutely crucial to our victory v. Leeds. Both these players were outstanding. Zohore wasn't rested, because Ward was ill, but the mere threat of being left out could have galvanised him. It's all about the squad not the team and a good manager knows when to rest key players. Warnock got it right!
