The following is taken from WalesOnline. Rarely do we want England to win, but perhaps tonight is one of those nights.
Personally, I don't like to see them do well - knowing how some of their fans think they're genuinely one of the best teams in the world. They're the international equivalent of Wolves fans
But an England win tonight is in our best interests.
WalesOnlineGroup D is certainly in the running for providing Europe's worst runner-up, a rundown that is worked out with the points accumulated within the group, minus those taken in the games against the bottom sides.
To put it into context, Montenegro are currently the worst-performing runners-up with seven meaningful points, having racked up 13 points overall. But because six of those have come against Group E's bottom side Kazakhstan, they do not count towards their play-off bid.
Even if Wales beat Moldova - currently bottom of Group D - to get into second place, they would still only have a running tally of eight, meaning there is a strong possibility they will enter the final two games of the campaign as the worst runner-up.
It means that winning the remaining two games will be crucial for Coleman's men, although strangely they could get a helping hand tonight from an unlikely source.
Bitter rivals England take on Slovakia at Wembley, with the visitors currently boasting a total of 12 points in the race for the play-offs.
At first glance, such a lead looks unassailable, but Slovakia's next game is against bottom side Malta, meaning they will only have one more game in which to pick up points.
That subsequently means a win for Wales in Georgia in October could leave them just one point adrift of Slovakia in the rankings of runners-up heading into the final match.
An England win could therefore provide a generous boost to Welsh hopes of qualifying.
