If it was upto me i'd sell him not loan him out,the reason im saying this has he really done enough ? I didn't get all the love in with him in the premier league i thought even though he gave 110% he wasn't really ever good enough, he was out of position alot and couldn't tackle, cost us a couple of goals aswell. Still hasn't broke into the first team and not exactly getting any younger, Thoughts?

if we loan him out its not because we want him to get some team experience before coming back its because no one is willing to buy him

Local lad. Like to see him do well.
Needs a move. Agree that it should be permanent. However I'm sure he's on a decent wage. Plus a fee. Other clubs have to be willing to match that. And if he can't get near our team. There wont be many clubs who will want him that can pay the same or offer the same level of football.
Reality is he's going to have to drop a level or two. Is he willing? We'll see.

I've seen him a few times and still think he's garbage, a move away from us is best for both parties.

ideal world is when you want to get rid of a player..you sell him
reality is when the club are giving new contracts they are gambling that a players value will at least remain the same over the duration of contract.
it works both ways...some increase in value like Saadi so the club get a fee.
others dont work out and lose value..you cant sell anything without a buyer so the best you can sometimes hope for is you find a club via agents to loan the player that will pay a percentage of his wages

I always wanted him to do well, and hope he does a Rangers, but he wasn't good enough at CCFC. The problem is I really don't think he's a LB and yet he doesn't seem to be a natural winger, yet when I saw him play at LWB I thought he looked quite good under Trollope (The only one that did). But yeah good move for all parties hopefully.

He has loads of pace but not good at defending... I don't think he is good enough for the Championship.

No where near good enough in my opinion and never understood the love in for him from some people, everyone wants to see a youth product do well but I seen little to suggest he would.

He was rubbish and we were rubbish

I think you have summed things up perfectly and I would agree 100%. He never really convinced as a LB or as a Left-Winger but looked a natural Left-Wing Back for that short period at the start of the 2016/17 season, especially the Birmingham and Blackburn games.

Whether it was MM or OGS his high water mark was 'OK' which just about sums up his potential.

we were over run in most of the games he played that season.
not easy to fairly judge a raw 17/18 year old in those conditions , but what we do know is that all 3 managers since have had little faith in him.
best he leaves and wish him well

Agree
For me, decent potential but in the City side of that time he just didn't have any end product and turned good attack into frantic defence which cost us dear
Nothing against the lad himself though and wish him well at Rangers in the hope he turns it all around

Many a time Wez we seen our supporters go into absolute defence of any young player we have here as well as Welsh players, escape criticism and get lauded for doing terrible, no wonder half these players don't make the grade.

Stoke away in the Premiership he was the best player on the pitch, it hasn't worked out and he needs to move on, dont get the harsh comments though tbh.
