GAYLE SET FOR EXIT?

Newcastle could be set to offload striker Dwight Gayle before Thursday's deadline - but only if they manage to line up a replacement.

Gayle was left out of the Rafa Benitez's squad on Saturday as both strikers Joselu and Aleksandar Mitrovic scored in the 3-0 win over West Ham.

Despite ending last season as top scorer in the Championship, the 27-year-old has failed to shine in the opening two defeats to Tottenham and Huddersfield and was dropped at the weekend.

Would you cash in on Ken for 20mill if we could get Gayle for 10!?
Not saying that I would just be interesting to see opinions.

Neither would I but I think that's what he'd be valued at roughly in todays market.
He'll score plenty of goal too.

for me its really short sighted to bring in someone whos proven to not be good enough at premier league level. but yeah if zohore goes we may end up doing something like this.

Would sell zohore for 20 million and get 10m for gayle straight away

If Zohore did leave for 20m + I think Gayle would be the ideal replacement for him. He's proven at this level and a clinical finisher who runs the channels and works hard for the team, he would be a perfect fit for us, but hopefully Zohore doesn't leave. Imagine if we had Zohore and Gayle, that would rip the championship apart. One can dream

First time I saw Dwight Gayle was when we played Posh at London Road, couldn't believe how small he looked and he was a handful when he had the ball, think McCann scored 2 pens to clinch it for Posh that day.

Gayle at Champs level is deadly, he'd bang in goals for a lot of sides.

Cheating, diving, crying to the ref, little bugger .....perfect for Wolves......

Is this their "big" striking option ?

If I was Tan I would be tempted! I mean if Zahore is injured we are going to have our teeth ripped out by putting Bogle in but if you had the likes of Zahore and Gayle you could keep your dukes up for the whole season unless you were very unlucky! Granted we have obviously got other great players it would hurt us to lose but you need bite to get out of this league!
