Yeah and Sheffield United had Derby, Forest had Leeds and The Worzels had Villa. We had a bigger crowd than them for Villa and with the strong travelling support for Derby and Leeds I would think we would get similar crowds. Boro just got relegated so they still got the Premier effect but good showing from Brum.

Our crowd was 18 k + but only around 700 qpr fans , Bristol crowd included 3k villa fans ' makes a big difference when comparing crowds! In fact take out away support around 1k difference

Forest have restricted away support their this season, max 2,500.

Nottingham 25,682 Crowd v Leeds United incl 2,500 Leeds fans(sold out), so Forest had 23,182 home fans.

2,500 Leeds United Fans away at Forest (Sold out)

Annis why you so concerned to big up other teams support yet knock ours at every opportunity
The consensus on this thread is that our gate on Saturday was very reasonable compared to the top five (we were top 6 but you chose to show only top 5 hmmm wonder why) for the various reasons stated I.e.bigger away support less traveling mileage etc

But what is the number through the turnstiles ?

We know that we had higher season ticket holders straight after relegation because they were bought when in the premier league.

Saturday looked the fullest 18K since the promotion season......

You used the key word there "reasonable". I would say disappointing.by all means i expect people to dessert the club when it struggles .but we have possibly one of the biggest catchment areas in Britain? and could only attract 18500 on Saturday.

I suspect we had 4 to 5k paying fans which is sn improvement on previous seasons and it did look fuller than in awhile, so guess lot more ST holders turning up unlike last season.

Makes sense though, as Forest are a far bigger club than Cardiff

Historically yes they will always be remembered for the European cup etc.but we've had parity with your forests derbys sheff weds etc for 15 years and still cant match the support they get. On the plus side the decade 2010 to present our support is at its highest level since the 1960s.

Sorry, I cant agree with you, those 3 clubs have achieved much more and won more trophies than us in the modern game. We would need to spend a good decade in the top flight to build the kind of loyal fan base that those clubs have

Steve, I have not mentioned ours at all??

I have put up like I have done for many many years the latest crowds and will continue to do so as it interests me and many others :thumbright: :thumbright:

If it upsets you so much, please don't even open crowd topics simple :thumbright:

We def have a massive catchment area and far bigger than the average club.

As you've brought our support up, yes I was expecting at least 20,000 on Saturday, hopefully the next home game will be at least that as Warnock and our team without a doubt deserve bigger crowds :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

agree..takes more than 15 years to recover.
my kids { in their late 20s and 30s now }were brought up watching Cardiff .
none of their school friends were.
people forget just how bad it was..and how long it went on for.even had it said on here as a comparison that Leeds have had a poor time of it....3 years in 3rd tier finishing 2nd,4th and 5th..
