Dinosaur Warnock

I do love it when i read this. It was highly prevalent in the Wolves forum i now gatecrash every Saturday (comedy gold)

But we are watching a highly modern 433 that when Klopp plays it is cutting edge.

Watching Liverpool not overly reliant on "playing through the thirds" and smacking a fair few long balls to to three electric forwards is very reminiscent of our style. But when we do it its old fashioned championship direct football :?

Arsenals "total football" does look a bit old nowadays.

I think our Neil is still just ahead of the curve, that is why he has made a very good living from the game.

He had this model in mind and has been tough enough (Whitts) to make it happen. :ayatollah:

Any manager worth his salt will play to the strengths of his team. With KZ's hold up play and the pace of himself, Hoilett and NML long balls into the channels or to the big man make perfect sense.

Personally I love long ball football because it creates an end to end game which is far more entertaining than that Swansea keep ball shit.

Agree

I would say Wenger is the Dinosaur these days. Football changes and the tippy tappy possession football of Barcelona is kinda seen it's day, for now anyway. Possession is vanity. To be successful now you need pace, power and use the counter attack effectively. That's what Warnock recognises and people like Wenger don't. I LOVE the way Arsenal play when it all comes together but that usually means the opposition allow them to play that way and more teams know how to counter them.

Liverpool were superb yesterday.
