WARNOCKS TEAM TODAY SHOWED TODAY HOW THEY CAN GRIND OUT A RESULT AGAINST A VERY ATTACKING QPR TEAM

IT WAS GREAT TO BE BACK & SEE THE BLUEBIRDS

QPR attacked but to no avail on many occasions as our defence stayed strong, Cardiff are just looking pure class

I have only written a couple of lines as I am off back now to the airport to fly back to Mallorca.

The quality of Neil Warnocks team is in abundance as I saw for myself today

Cardiff Team : Etheridge, Peltier, Morrison, Bampa,Bennett, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Damour, Mendez-Laing, Hoilett and Zohore.

The first 20 mins saw the ball in the air a lot, once City got the ball on the floor and Mendez-Laing and Hoilett got on it City looked threatening.

Cardiff deserved the lead at half time, a stroke of luck for the first goal Hoilett, but a strong header from Bamba give City the lead.

City just about deserved the lead first-half and QPR had come for win and threatened many times.

Second half City continued where they left the first half attack after attack.

For 20mins City totally dominated.

It then evened out.

Kenneth Zohore was very quite today.

Damour replaced in the 81st min by Danny Ward.

Good entertaining game made better by us keeping our 100% record.

QPR always look like they could get the equaliser in the second half and nearly got it at the end. However I think it would have been unfair on us if they did as we really should have had this game sown up well before the end.

But 1 shot on goal to our 7. They can attack all they want but are defensive line is faultless so far.

Also as opposed to the other games, this time we had most efforts AND most possession.

I don't at all but into the theory that QPR were ever a threat to us. They scored due to an error on our part, and they only came into the game at the end when we once again sat deep to see out the game. Even in that final period, they only looked like scoring from a fluke tap in.

For me, that's another supposed promotion chasing team who have come to us and barely posed a threat. We'll lose games this year, maybe even a few at home, but right now we look unstoppable and the scary thing is, we are still showing that early season lack of clinical finishing up front, so God have mercy on other teams coming to us when our front line clicks into gear.

Yes we should of won 4-1 , but at 2-1 QPR still looked a threat.

Breathtaking whenever he gets the ball. His defensive qualities are impressive too

Pretty sure it was Zohore's labours that set toilet up, even when the boys not scoring he's playing a massive part in setting us up for goals.

QPR did well for the first 20mins but after that I thought we battered them and played some really good football. I thought they might nick one at the end just because it's the type of thing city do. Great result.

Whilst we deserved to win by 3 or 4 i thought some of the decision making by wide players was poor at times! But cannot fault way they keep opposition busy all game

That referee mind was diabolical - what were the two disallowed goals chalked off for??!? Should have won that 5-1!

Thought Bamba and Hoillet were class today!

I think Zahore played all the game damour was replaced by ward

Thought we were great again today. 3-1 would have probably been the right result imo, we dominated the second half and don't remember them being in out half in the second half until the 90mins. Thought Bamba was immense at the back, won every tackle and every 50/50 challenge was his, Hoilett was brilliant again, his passing has improved massively and was running the Qpr backline ragged, and Ralls was passing like Iniesta in that second half lol, and is better than I've ever seen him. Only Criticism I have is of Etheridge who I still feel uneasy with him in goal and his kicking was abysmal today, I really do believe Camp will be first choice when he gets fit as Etheridge has now made 2 errors in 2 games. But on the whole a good result and 10/11 players were brilliant today.

being picky but Damour was substituted for Ward lol

Everytime we go forward I think we are going to score. What a contrast to the last few years where we would get into the final third and then pass it back to our keeper.

I'm no longer nervous about our defence and losing it in the last 10 minutes.

Got too say it as no one else will...Etheridge in goal NOT very commanding, can see nerves and defence may not have full confidence in him.Only NEGATIVE in my opinion. Rest of team Quality

I must have said it 5 times on this forum now Hope Camp is better tbh, as I always feel nervous when a cross comes in as he doesn't command his area and his prone to making the odd clanger. Against Villa he came racing out and missed the ball completely, Wolves he should have caught that ball which was easy to drop on, and instead parried it, and today he had a poor game, costed us another goal and his kicking was abysmal and he kept coming out to collect balls then would retreat which doesn't help you defence. Sorry not convinced so far.
