Mayweather for me! No matter how much I appreciate and admire him in his own sporting arena, a McGregor win would set boxing back many years!

Mayweather of course. And then more guff about a multisquillion circus rematch, both of which I would rather cheesegrate my scrote rather than watch. Pifffff.

I love my Boxing and MMA but this fight is a farce. It's only for the money and my opinion it's going to be scripted like a WWE match. If it was real then Mayweather would win whenever he wanted to. But he is gonna carry him and make it interesting so there will be a re match. To much money in this fight to make it anything but fair and square.
RIP to Boxing and the UFC after this shambles.

Disgraceful Annis that an absolute ledgend like Marcianos record should go in a circus show. There is no way this fight should have been sanctioned in the first place.

I can't see anything other then a mayweather win but I got no real interest in this fight.

i like boxing, just can't get into MMA, but this isn't a street fight. Under boxing rules i doubt McGregor would beat the all lightweight Ireland ammeter champion, so probably the most skilled boxer in the last 20 years however rusty should be an exhibition.

It's true 60% expect the retired boxer to win 95% of boxers are sure the ex boxer will win, I can't really work out the hype ???

Looked like what it was, a boxer against a non boxer. Mayweather tossed around for the first four rounds and if McGregor could hit him, it wasn't like a dig from a top pro boxer. The smirk from Floyd in the 5th just said "right, lets go" and stepped on the gas. The next few rounds were a one sided exhibition from a no risk super skilled boxer. It was never really in doubt.

Watched a replay. Looked pretty 'staged' to me and two men plus their agents, some TV companies and the venue hosts made a lot of money off of the backs of their willing punters. A massive shame and I hope it never gets repeated but sadly money talks...

Spot on Sven it's been a staged event from about 12 months ago even down to how long the fight would last. Mcgregor has made a mug out of a lot of his fans for the ridiculous pay day.as my earlier post I feel for the relatives of rocky marciano who saw his record beaten by a staged circus show. It should never have counted as a legitimate bout but they even made a belt for the occasion for Floyd to parade with.

Made it look convincing for a four to five rounds even give the opponent a few early rounds then play at being top pro boxer, even ageing one who never sparred for the last four weeks and was caught eating late night burgers.......

the biggest surprise ive had out of this is the amount of boxing fans { id imagine you have to be a fan to some extent to buy tickets or PPV } that totally dont get the skill levels and training required for the sport of boxing.
the old boxing booths are a very good example of how just being the local hard nut just dont cut it even against the least experienced of trained boxers in a ring. yet some thought a bloke with zero experience had a genuine chance against a boxer who has produced more records than Phil Spector.

Mayweather P4P best in the world a few years ago struggling against a non Boxer dosen't make sense and far to unbelievable in my opinion.
