Neil Warnock confirms Ibrahim Meite has joined Crawley on loan

Neil Warnock has confirmed that striker Ibrahim Meite has been sent out on loan to Crawley Town until January.

Warnock handed Meite his first team debut in the Bluebirds' 0-0 draw against Wigan in April - along with fellow youngster Mark Harris - and also saw the frontman feature as a late substitute in the Carabao Cup defeat to Burton on Tuesday night.

And the Yorkshierman believes Meite will benefit from a spell with Harry Kewell's side in League Two.

"I can’t force anybody to go," added Warnock.

"We’ve let Meite go to Crawley today, we’ll let him go till January."

"He’s done ever so well and we’ve had one or two enquiries and after thinking of the opportunities he’ll get we hope he’ll get chances there.

"We’re doing things all the time and trying to sort one or two lads out. Meite was always going to be an Under-23 project.

"It’ll be interesting to see if he can get in the Crawley side and get some league games under his belt."

Think he needs this for his confidence when I've seen him he way into some great positions, he's quick but needs to toughen up/fill out and get abit more composure after that could be fairly decent
