' Just 153 flexi tickets sold '

Was thinking about renewing my season ticket but I hate the Championship when there's nothing to play for.

Took the next best step and bought a flexi ticket for myself, my son and old man. They wrote 151, 152 and 153 on the books suggesting we have only sold 153 of them up to yesterday lunch time. Not going to make a massive difference to crowds as half of these would have bought tickets anyway...probably.

Here's how I see it...

It's a great promotion by the club and at £16.50 per game it's pretty good value. It saves the holder money when they do attend and I believe gives them priority booking on any games that (no matter how unlikely) may be potential sell-outs

They are great for those fans who live away (Forever Blue a good example) and can only watch City infrequently and also those who will pick and choose their games according to opposition and (maybe after Christmas) want to jump on board as/if we continue to show a winning consistency on the field and hopefully edge closer to the dream

Currently, I think those numbers, if accurate, are reasonable because at this point of the season the majority of City supporters have either bought season tickets, are in the process of buying after a good start or are still waiting to see how the season develops before committing

As with previous promotions, sales should increase sharply depending on how the team is doing later in the season

Of course, we still have Christmas to come and they would make great gifts for many, too! :ayatollah:

I was no 74 two weeks ago,so not moving quickly,a good idea from the club, problem being where are they being advertised?,they need to look outside the box a bit,it's ok advertising in programme and around ground, but these need to be advertised outside to the people who don't normally go to games

the flexi ticket should be a plastic card that can be activated for a game by a phone call to ticket office.

many fans dont live convenient to the stadium and neither fancy a double trip.. or being outside the ticket office 90 mins before a game .
i know 3 people who were very enthusiastic until they read the above

for those with a flexi ticket and your down the game today you can purchase a ticket for the sheffield game today at the ticket office .

that's what i will be doing saves you going down 90 minutes before the sheffield game

think the sheffield game will be close to a sell out if we are to of the league at that point in time . :bluescarf:

Great idea.
People I've spoke to in work hadn't heard of it and thought it was a great idea although just haven't got around to getting one. Wouldn't be a bad idea if the staff went out and about to the big businesses in Cardiff with a card machine and some kind of promotional offer to get people interested.

For example flybe came to my office about 6 months ago, got people to fill out a form and winner got a free flight. City could go to building, takes an hour at each office, competition for free ticket for a game, get forms filled in, try and sell some tickets.
Then call the people from the forms to offer sales.

i know your being helpfull, but ..flexi..should mean what it says .not having to plan ahead or queue for ages or make mulitple trips. from the clubs point of view im pretty sure the hope was that fans who might go once or twice would buy them..not pple that would be there every game anyway.

Bought mine yesterday really good idea by the club and an option that is ideal for a shiftworker like me.I thought this offer would have been taken up in bigger numbers perhaps after today it will be.
