Chant Idea

Tue Aug 08, 2017 10:41 am

Just came into my head needs refinement but to the tune of Don't take me home/Don't Sack Mackay something along the lines of:

We're going up,
The blues are going up
but no one else thinks we can
But we've got Zohore
And Loic Damour*
And Neil Warnock's our man

** could swap that for Danny Ward actually

Anyway just popped into me head so I thought i'd share :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

I think it could work but only after a storming start to the season though! :ayatollah: :bluebird: :D

Heard a song not long ago that I think could work well!

To the tune of "Yes Sir, I can Boogie" by Baccara...

Oh yes sir,
I can boogie,
But I need a certain team,
I need City,
Cardiff City,
All night long
Oh...

To the theme of Human by the Killers:

"Are we Cardiff, or are we Bluebirds?
Promotions vital, or so I've heard..
And I'm on my knees, looking for the answers,
Are we Cardiff, or are we Bluebirds?"
(Repeat)

To the theme of Sweet Caroline:

"Sweet club of mine duh duh duh,
Cardiffs never felt so good!
Bluebirds flying high duh duh duh,
In the Canton where I'm stood oh oh oh..."
(Repeat)

To the theme of Papa loves Mambo:

" Cardiff love Manga duh duh duh duh duh,
Bruno Manga duh duh duh duh duh...
He's got a massive xxxx, tucked in his Bluebirds kit,
Cardiff love Manga oh oh, ooooh!"
(Repeat)

These are some of the songs we sing pre-match in the Canton Hotel, starting with the Aston Villa game this Saturday at 1pm. Come and join us and unite the clans! :bluebird:

What's the one you sing for Sol Bamba?

To the tune of Amoré:

When he picks up the ball
You just know that he'll score
It's Zohore

If it's right, left or head
Puts the ball in the net
It's Zohore

Gheorghe1927 I'm unable to reply on your (or any other) comment direct. Either a website error or me being a biff.

The Sol Bamba song is as follows:

To the theme tune of La Bamba by Ritchie Valens

"A la la la la Sol Bamba...
A la la la la Sol Bamba we're going up,
With Neil Warnock we're going up (2,3,4)
Sol Bamba,
Sol Bamba,
Sol Bamba, duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh..."
(Repeat)

If I'm honest, last season we were singing "staying up" instead of "going up"and this version made its debut at Taffs Well

Do you sit quite near us, only there's not many of us  You're more than welcome to come and have a singalong

I sit a few rows down in front of you and although my mate says you all do his heading (hahaha) I think the support you show is absolutely fantastic! Non stop all game and it's great, the atmosphere is over to the left from where we are and kinda stops then further into the corner unfortunately. You were the same for Kevs testimonial too! Whatever weather whatever game you're all there singing and I love it! Keep it up :bluescarf:

How about 'just can't get enough' for Zohore?

When I see you Kenneth, I go out of my head.
I just can't get enough. I just can't get enough
When you score a volley, or when you score a head.
I just can't get enough. I just can't get enough
We slip and slide as we've fallen in love, and I just can't seem to get enough. Zohore!
Du du du du du du,
Du du du du du du
Du du du du du du Ken Zohore!

Re: Chant Idea

Fri Aug 11, 2017 1:56 pm

Or, also for Zohore. To the tune of Delilah.

Why why why, Zohore.
Why why why, Zohore.
So before, he breaks away and he scores.
Oh Kenneth Zohore I think we should pay you some more

The amore chant was sang at Burton Away last year for Zohore but very different to the one above!
