I think the amount of ST's sold is roughly the same as last year - 13,000 ish?
I can't see how there are going to be 10 - 11 thousand walk ups attending so I'll go for ...
24,000

Luke only a couple hundred more than Bradford City v Blackpool in the lower Leagues(incl 800 Blackpool), for me that would not be good support if Villa bring 5,000 fans.

Roughly 11500 season ticket holders
Average walk up 3500
First game of season gate boost 1000
Complimentaries 500
Away fans 4600

Would make it around 21000

I would be suprised if its more than 23000

Didn't Bradford do a huge campaign on cheap season tickets?

If we have 13k-ish of season tickets and 5k of villa fans then that means 18k a around 4k of walk up fans seems reasonable to me.
I'm not to concerned on attendances if we keep winning then fans will come back.

Yes 5 yrs running, they do £50 for under 16's and £99 students like we do :thumbright:

Plus £150 for an adult in the cheap area.

Rem they are watching Lower league football v ROCHDALE etc we play Leeds, Villa, Sunderland etc etc

Massive difference

We are playing a massive club Aston Villa and South Wales is on a high :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Us selling adult tickets at £150 would see a huge increase in attendances no doubt about it.

£99 for any age student/ part/time student.

We are in the Championship we are already one of the cheapest , there's always an excuse, next it will be if we gave them away free. Our club has to get some money in as we pay high wages for a higher standard of football :thumbright: :bluebird:

Re: " Predict The Villa Attendance "

It's nothing to do with excuses Annis, if people don't want to pay it they won't and clearly people do not think it's worth it.

I agree the student prices are brilliant and a great idea however I don't think the standard prices for an adult are good enough value to tempt those fans who aren't the core fans. Maybe they are cheaper than other clubs but that doesn't really make any difference to us getting more fans through the door.

Your example of Bradford having good season ticket sale is down to the £150 season tickets. If we did the same we would sell a lot more. If we can't afford to do it then that's fine we continue as we are but no point complaining about the attendances.

If I'm honest I'm not one to be overall concerned about attendance figures, if people want to go to games then they will, If people think it's worth the money they will come.

I personally believe that yes we may have lost a small amount of fans during the rebrand but not thousands. I think the prices are good for a season ticket but obviously because I sit in the grandstand and pay £520 per year, id love them to be cheaper but I do have a fantastic view so can't complain and of course that's my choice I could opt to pay less! .. A lot less.

There is no reason why we can't fetch in bigger crowds due to the size of Cardiff many of the fans we are missing come from within Cardiff itself! Success is the main thing that will bring fans in through the gate glory fans or not! That is the single biggest thing IMO. Some cities/towns have a massive following of football fans for example Newcastle, Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich (I think) , Leeds I hate to say it etc. Some just haven't. I'd say we are average not poor but not massive either.

I guess throughout the city of Cardiff the club needs to Sell the 'love for football and Cardiff city' to people - that may bring in some fans but utimagely its success. Premier league club we could get 33k per game but not much more unless again success comes in that league. Just my opinion though.

I have to say though I m so proud of the passion displayed by some of our fans home and away - away especially! I don't care if we have 1,000 at a match as opposed to 2,000! The noise we make is something to be proud of. :bluescarf:

It would make no difference at all if our season tickets were cheaper, if people want to go they will go, the current STs are cheap as chips 2 days overtime pays for a whole season.
