surprised his name hasn't been mentioned more after yesterday. mendez laing offered the pace and trickery which always stands out more but Damour got involved with everything. covered every blade of grass, chased everything down and really looks like he has that football brain. I think his contribution sent us on our way to victory more than the other subs.

For me Mendez laing and demour have to start against Aston Villa.

Fair play they both played amazing when they came on and changed the game completely. Damour looked like he is quite easy to link up with and covers all areas of the pitch and Mendez Laing looked very direct with a few tricks up his sleeve

Joe Ralls, Tomlin is an attacking midfielder where Loic is more of a defensive midfielder.

I would start with the same side against Villa as yesterday .
Everybody is saying its not a team but squad game .
Damour is stronger to finish a game also M-L going against a tired defence would be good, same as yesterday. BUT
We did look like we were lopsided in attack ( listening to reports) all options down our left .
So perhaps M-L to start down the right . Then hoilett to cone on second half ???? But its nice to have options now .

We already look much, much better in midfield than last season although Ralls had an off day yesterday but Damour was brilliant. I can see him being the all-round midfielder we've been crying out for. Mendez-Laing had a great league debut too and already seems to be on the same wavelength as Damour.
Tomlin was a little quieter yesterday but I have no doubt he will excell soon enough. With Gunnar his usual masterful self and Ralls likely to improve I can see this unit developing very nicely indeed. Here's looking forward to Villa

We've made seven quality additions in double quick time and that's down to NW and his staff. In Neil We Trust. I think it's going to be the most enjoyable season for years, wherever we end up finishing.

I thought Loic was brilliant yesterday. He showed great tenacity, but also showed class with certain touches, passing and movement. I'd like to see him alongside Gunnars, with Tomlin playing in front. Ralls was bery bad yesterday, yes he does all the hard graft and I admire that. But he hasn't got the vision or passing abilities to get us to where we need to be if we want a top 6 finish.

Damour's link up play with Mendez-Laing down the right in particular got us into dangerous attacking positions. Then the 2 of them continuously combined down the right to run the clock down towards the end, winning corners and free kicks. Damour's touch and back heel flick to set Zohore up for the goal was majestic, he made it look so easy and it was a sublime finish by Zohore. 2 free transfers came off the bench and won us the game. It's Warnock at his best.

Listening on the radio it was evident that both players changed the pace of the game to our favour.
The energy and ability of both is something NW will surely capitalise on

It looked to me as NW had a game plan to keep it tight with 3 at the back and then change things on the hour and target Stephen Warnock down their left (our right) and take advantage of the players advancing years.
If that's the case then I think the phrase is "our manager is very tactically astute"

Did well when he came on, however he was a bit hot and cold in pre season, I don't think he can play Ralls, link man role just yet, but a great option to bring on and looks another bargain brought in by the European scouts

Agree with this, Loic would be the right replacement for Ralls

Surprisingly he only had a 6 in the Sunday sun paper. Shit tabloid gave us a small Report in their goals section
