MY VIEW/OPINION

' CARDIFF CITY FINALLY GOT THE GOAL THEY DESERVED '

City dominated the second-half of this game and many City fans will have wondered what manager Neil Warnock had said to the Cardiff team.
When the goal finally came it was a brilliant goal,by yes Kenneth Zohore.

But the First Half was a very even stevens game and nothing really created by Cardiff, it's fair to say that wasn't an inspiring 45 mins of football by Cardiff City.

This was a tough place to come and City fans can be very happy to take 3pts home :bluebird: :bluebird:

BURTON 0 CARDIFF CITY 1 :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

87th min Kenneth Zohore.

Cardiff City: Etheridge: Morrison, Manga, Bamba, Peltier, Bennett, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Hoilett, Tomlin, Zohore.

Subs Murphy, Richards, Halford, Damour, Pilkington, Mendez-Laing, Ward.

Crowd 5,050
Away support 1,755

Neil Warnock sent out a very strong Cardiff City team out today against Burton and with City backed by over 1,700 fans, three points were surely their for City today.

First-half for me even stevens, no real cut chances by City, one offside by Kenneth Zohore. Burton should of put the ball in the net in the 42nd min and shot wide.

Over all, not the best start by Cardiff City and Warnock will have something to say about that.

Second-half and yes Cardiff came out attacking and looking for the first goal, but it still would not come.

In the 64th min there was a double change for Cardiff City Manga was sacrificed for Mendez-Laing and Lee Tomlin was surprisingly taken off in favour of Damour.

City for quite a while put a lot of pressure on Burtons defence in the second-half.

And in the 87th minute City finally got the goal they deserved, scored by Kenneth Zohore :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

'
It was Scintillating finish from Zohore. On his left foot. 20 yards out, curling into the bottom corner and the Cardiff fans went mental!

It was Brilliant from the Dane. Absolutely brilliant. The first clearcut chance he had and he took it 0-1 :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

My man of the match Sean Morrison :thumbright: :bluebird:

Fair play to Warnock, the change of system and the introduction of Mendez Laing and Damour totally changed the game. Playing with more width we really started to dominate and it was a sensational finish from Zohore!

No chance of 30k next week.

The upper ninian is not open and we wouldn't sell 25k if it was

At the end of the day, we could've dominated the game & crushed them 5-0, but we still would've taken the same amount of points home. Relieved and ecstatic to get the 3 points, onwards and upwards :ayatollah:

Only club too win away today and one of only three to score away from home.

Well done City!

Vast improvement on last season, away win, 3 points first game can't ask for anymore, looking very promising tactics from Neil warnock were the key, susaed burton on and changed tactics and formation.

A draw would have been good enough away from home, but really happy with the win. Great finish by Zohore for the goal, and I was impressed by Mendez-Laing when he came on.

For me the first 6 games is a bit like the last 6 games, the points are more important than the performances.I'll take 0-1 and 3 points all day long

Re: MY VIEW ' CARDIFF CITY FINALLY GOT THE GOAL THEY DESERVE

The first half sounded really even, and not much quality in it, but it sounded like when we changed to a 4-3-3 we seemed a lot better and got control of the game a lot more. Thought Damour and Mendez Laing sounded really lively when they came on as well. Great result in the end knowing how difficult it is to go to somewhere like Burton and get 3pts, but if we do play 5 at the back again I really do hope we don't play Peltier at RWB again, as he's not quick enough or good enough attacking wise to play in that position, hopefully they put Jazz there instead. But good Result, well done City.

Zohore can really make the difference, huge win to start the season.

Annis surely 30k? Did you hit the wrong button  be lucky to get that if we were pushing for promotion come the end of the season. I know you think we should get more in attendance but winning 0-1 away to button won't bring and extra 7000 floaters back.

Lucky get the win
Our keeper bit dodgy for me...they never had a decent effort on target ...if they did be interesting on how he be...his kicking was bad...+ Side Defence were Great today

Luke,

Its only 4 years ago and every City home game was a sell out.

We are playing the biggest club at home outside the Premier League.

Rem 5,000 Villa fans, 25,000 Cardiff fans is not asking for much, No restrictions, pay on the day,a Sat,3pm, v Aston Villa and Neil Warnock a great manager.

So expecting 25,000 Cardiff fans to turn up is asking a lot? thats quite sad if you can't expect that, we have 260,000 City fans on our fan base.
