Thoughts on that team
By Dominic Booth
There had been some suggestions that Warnock would go for the three centre-backs and a system that he believed looked so balanced at the end of last season.
It means it’s the first time all three of Bamba, Morrison -- still wearing the armband -- and Manga will all play at the back at the same time. Bamba has played in front of the other two in the past, but the presence of Gunnarsson and Ralls in the centre suggests Bennett and Peltier will play as wing backs.
That said, Peltier isn’t a natural up-and-down full-back so it will be interesting to see how the side eventually lines up at the Pirelli as the rain clears here. Danny Ward is kept in reserve which means only two of the seven summer signings get a debut --
Neil Etheridge and Lee Tomlin -- but immediately the former Rotherham man makes a bench look far stronger and with options to be proactive as the game goes on compared to last year.
With injuries accounting for the absence of Paterson, Harris, Connolly and Camp, there’s no real surprised omission from the matchday 18. Even Craig Noone is here, but as a spectator having been spotted in the ground’s reception in his civvies.

5-3-2 with hoilett and Zohore upfront?

A positive lineup.
I would expect a slow and nervous start from both sides and will happily take a 1-0 win.
Clough is a good manager and someone i rate at this level.

Bench is alot stronger than last year Annis that's what stood out to me. Last year we'd only have pills and noone as attacking options.
