If you look at it from an attendance angle Bristol City pissed all over the through the 80s and 90s even at times when they were in divisions below us. It was only when SH took over and our crowds picked up that we went alongside and then passed them, even in 2005 and 2006 they were matching us on crowds despite being a division below us and this was after all the money we had pumped into us compared to them.
Obviously we have obliterated them in the years where we were almost on the way up and then the Premiership but its leveled back out again now and they are averaging more than us home and away.
I reckon with an honest hat on that the 2 clubs are about the same size.
