That's a great financial deal for them but a huge loss on the pitch and I don't really see Everton as a massive step up for such a decent player!

They do seem to have it sussed though and their American owners will be recouping their money back rapidly if all they ask for is Premier League survival  :ayatollah:

Can't knock their business sense but at what cost? It appears survival is now their goal and judging by the constant sales of best players past 4yrs will it catch up to them sooner rather than later? It has with other clubs. :o

I think if they're stay out of the relegation places, at the end of the season the owners will be happy.
Also most of they're fans will be too .
Its all about getting more bang for their buck . The yanks once they've made a sizeable profit can move on. Its a business to them after all.

Their own fans have predominantly accepted its about staying in the premiership now and the signings to date don't show any drive to become regular top 6.

As I always predict they'll be relegated this season, Clements is looking pissed off already over signings.

But like every year the feckers will probably prove me wrong again.

Putting aside some of our fans predicting their demise for past 4yrs or so the one fact remains they have shown no ambition regarding players as they keep selling best ones and hoping replacements do the job? At the moment they've bought a lower la ligue player a 21yr old loanee unproven in premiership and couple of academy players while getting rid of several players from 1st team squad! Hardly showing ambition is it? But like you say probably escape again. :old:
