The notorious leader of a sex gang has been released from prison 17 years early.

Mubarek Ali, who was one of two ringleaders of the gang in Telford, is just five years into his 22-year prison sentence for his horrific crimes.

The sexual grooming gang had preyed on girls as young as 13 for at least two years, who had confided in youth workers about the abuse.

Ali, 34, was then captured as part of a police investigation called Operation Chalice in 2013, and was jailed for 22 years.

However, he is now reportedly set to be released on licence as early as November.

Telford MP Lucy Allen said that Ali’s release was ‘wrong’, and could lead to him rejoining the community where his victims continue to live.

Allen spoke of the issue in the Commons last week, demanding that victims of child sexual exploitation are treated better.

In an open letter to local paper the Shropshire Star, she added that his victims are ‘living in fear’ and should have been properly consulted before his release.

‘Victims and members of the public would have expected a 22-year sentence to mean that the community could have time to heal and victims would be able to get on with their lives,’ she said.

‘What we see in this case is that one of the main perpetrators is being released into the community only five years after the trial.

‘This is clearly of enormous concern to victims in this case, especially those who gave evidence in court.’

Four young women, who were aged 13 to 16 when they were abused between 2007 and 2009, gave evidence to Worcester Crown Court during the trial in 2013.

Mubarek’s co-defendant, 27-year-old Ahdel Ali, was sentenced to 26 years in prison.

What kind of message does this send out to perverts like this scum? Jail sentences are cosmetic because 22 years doesn't mean anything like that. He'll be back to his old ways within days finding new victims as well as distressing his previous ones who will live in fear after bravely giving evidence against the scum.

The Judges in this country are total wankers spending too much time in finding ways to kill desperately ill babies instead of making sure 22 years means 22 years for evil men who prey on young children.

I have always said these liberals who believe this scum and others like him should be released early should be the ones to bare the brunt of the danger. Instead of parachuting them into housing estates this scum should be given a house next door to those liberals so their children are the ones in danger and not ours.

I'm dam sure if we started doing that the liberal attitude would disappear overnight.

He was convicted with his scum brother. Castrate them both and deport the whole family and anyone else associated with them. Same as the 23,000 terrorist suspects here. See how quick it stops then. Some folk like to criticise Tommy Robinson but at least he's got the balls to highlight what successive weak governments, law and pc media seem to be unable to deal with. Spot on as been said a few times on this thread - the punishment for sexual abuse should be castration.

Caught in 2013 and released in 2017 means 4 years not 5??? In any event, he was convicted and sentenced to 22 years. This is not a judge or police decision but home office. The home office will say he will be "managed" as a sex offender in the community and probation and the police will have to manage him. The amount of serious sex offenders being "managed" on our streets is frightening. I fear for the little people out there!

The problem is like nearly all Government departments the Justice system is starved of funding. So the system looks to save money by releasing prisoners early at every opportunity it can.

So from that perspective yes we have gone soft, very soft.

A sad state of affairs that we have sunk this low to allow this person to be released.

The Government's argument is these people 'are' still serving their sentence under licence in the community . Originally the idea was to let prisoners out early so they could be rehabilitated which had it's merits and I could see the value.

Unfortunately like everything else it has been hi-jacked and used as a tool to save money rather than the purpose it was originally intended for.

Now it has reached farcical proportions when a convicted pervert is let out with 18 years still to serve. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and the deterrent value in a long prison sentence has been completely lost.

BTW I really hope your theory about him being recruited by MI5 is correct and someone from a terrorist organisation is reading this. That way natural justice will take it's own course
