Barca, Real Madrid and Man U are a "truly massive club."

Sheff Wed are a club with a decent following granted but' massive'; get a grip.

Next thing you'll be saying is that Leeds are a 'massive club'

Def a big club but not massive....could sustain 35 plus in the top flight though and fir a city the size of Sheffield and with another big club that is good.

Massive compared to what???
It's all subjective, we are a massive club compared to Crawley.

One gripe I have with Sheff Weds is the amount that they charge away fans. I know it is a subject that has been discussed before on here but Sheff Weds are out there as the biggest culprits in ripping off away fans.

The best seats at Hillsborough for a category A game are (I believe) £49. These seats give the best view of the pitch and are right on the half way line.

However, away fans are charged £49 also. Seats at Villa Park for the North stand (which is identical in size, layout and position to the Leppings Lane) are half that price. I know prices at your ground are similar to those at Villa. Seats at the other end of Wednesdays ground (the Kop) are £42 which is also an absolute disgrace and shows that Wednesday have contempt for their own fans as well as away fans.

Wednesday fans who have season tickets pay much less, for example, the most expensive ST costs £705 which works out at just £30 a game. To me, there is no justification in such a big increase for those who cannot make every game.

In my opinion, the answer is not to reciprocate the contempt by charging their fans the same but to put pressure on some bloke in a suit in an office somewhere who dines out on the back of the Championship - Those who are in positions to make decisions.

In my opinion to be a true "big" club it's not about how many you get in your ground whilst in the premier league. But when a club like Leicester, Leeds or Sheffield drop down to league 1 but still maintain the crowds home and away. I tend to only measure it by core support. Because any club in the prem , spending £££ can attract fair wearers but they come and go. If United or Chelsea don't win a trophy for 10 years their fan base would diminish considerably, whilst Liverpool who have won 1 league cup in 10 years have grown. At the moment people consider Chelsea bigger than Leeds or Derby for example but can you imagine if Chelsea were in the championship for 5+ years maintaining crowds near 30k every game. No way. So on this premise I say the big clubs are Liverpool Newcastle Everton villa arsenal Leeds sheff and a few others.
