" FITNESS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION "

Of paramount importance to Warnock is not the result, not the goals or the Hollywood football, but players' fitness. It was evident the Bluebirds had been working hard since Friday night's friendly at Taff's Well, looking significantly sharper in the Devonshire sun.

If Warnock can maintain that improvement in his players' fitness levels and sharpness, they should obliterate Bodmin Town on Wednesday and be approaching their best when visiting Plymouth Argyle on Friday night for the biggest test of pre-season.

The Championship season is just three weeks away, so it's integral that fitness improves rapidly. There's no time for sluggishness.
