Could Ashley Cole be heading back to English football? The former England, Chelsea and Arsenal defender, who joined LA Galaxy last year from Roma, is one of Birmingham’s top transfer targets this summer.
However, if Harry Redknapp is to bring Cole to St. Andrew’s, he’ll have to prise him away from the MLS franchise who want to keep him.
"He's a really important part of our team," head coach Curt Onalfo said. "Ashley brings a level of experience, he's our oldest player but he often looks like our youngest.
"He has such a great way about him. He's certainly a player that's in my plans and I want him to stay here obviously."
