HAMMER STEPPING UP JOE HART EFFORTS

11/07/17

West Ham are stepping up their efforts to sign England goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City, Sky sources understand.

Hart is expected to leave City this summer after returning from a season-long loan deal at Torino, and while they would prefer a permanent deal for Hart, West Ham would prefer a loan with an option to buy.

He did well in Italy, and really made an effort. Seems like he enjoyed the experience. Fans out there appreciated that.

I follow Torino very closely and although due to health issues we didn't get out for our annual weekend in Turin this winter, the friends we've built up and media attention on Hart was huge they really did love him, and worked tirelessly to try and secure a permanent signing - problem being wages in the end - he was willing to take a cut but they still couldn't match his wages.

In return I think the signing of Sirigu was massively down to Hart as they realised that a top GK can bring you a lot of fan support.

I think West Ham is a smart move for him personally they already have two very good GKs in Adrian and Randolph one of which you would have to say would leave to make way, but it would be a very good fit and you couldn't see him moving on from there.
