Is everyone else very optimistic about our chances?
At least the Plays offs for me and that will be a good season , as it's a very very tough Championship this season , a lot of money is being spent by other clubs.

Good chance of playoffs! Like previous seasons championship will be full of surprises.

Annis, a few more attacking midfielders & I'll really fancy our chances. Roll on Friday, Football is back!

Ask any fan in the league which manager they'd pick to get promoted out of the division and 99% of them would say Warnock and rightly so. If there's any man who can get promoted when given a fair crack he's the man so it has to count for something! Bluuuuuuuuuuuebiiiiiiiirds

Correct
Every fan I speak to even those who dislike him, really respect him

I think we have a very good opportunity to scrap our way to the playoffs this season - I don't fancy it being pretty but I can't see why we can't be everyone's second favourite side and get to the playoffs and even to Wembley for a final!
But having said that I think this year is going to be so much harder and for me I think Wolves have the potential to take the league unexpectedly by storm.
For me Boro who haven't yet lost a player from the prem squad are favourites along with Leeds and Wolves, Derby will be up there, Villa, Sunderland I don't expect will be as dangerous as you'd expect but will still be a nuisance, Hull similar to Sunderland, I think Norwich will fall away from the chasing pack, Sheffield Wednesday will be dangerous as will a Redknapp led Birmingham and I think it's there to throw ourselves into the mix.

We need a few more attacking players. Then and only then I will be optimistic for the play offs!

Whatever happens the feel good factors definitely back.the city coach pulls up at an away match Warnock gets off the city fans start chanting his name.I've never known a manager get so much adulation in my 40 years supporting city.

Mid table finish for me.
However I do feel with Warnock as our manager could prove me wrong. If we had a Malky/Slade type manager then I would be right.
Mon Jul 10, 2017 5:31 pm
We need a good number ten and a winger then I will be confident of playoffs at the moment I think we lack a touch of creative class to finish in the top 6 but then again nobody would have expected Huddersfield to go up,it's all about momentum so hopefully we start strong
Mon Jul 10, 2017 5:59 pm
Mid table for me also
Stronger sides coming up than those that went down and three tough away games in terms of travel and opponents from the premier sides that come down. There are other sides spending big not that that guarantees success.
Warnock is a good manager but I think people are putting him on a pedastool and there is only one way down - I hope I am proved wrong bit would rather people play down on expectations.
One positive thing he has been backed by the committee so there can be no complaints so let hope he delivers

in and around the playoffs between 5th - 8th.
if Zohore can keep his form going if expect us to be top 6
Mon Jul 10, 2017 7:48 pm
Really looking forward to it and travelling to as many games as possible.
Not confident of the play-offs, but definitely top half.
The main thing is that Warnock has brought our pride back after the misery of Trolls, Slade and Ollie.
At least we will be competitive and Neil will make them leave it on the pitch more often than not.
Also great to have a few fresh faces as well, as Gunnar back to his best, and Big Ken firing on all cylinders from game one.

Play offs for sure and maybe top 2

8-1 TO GO UP NEXT SEASON

I think we are still missing a couple of quality players to get in the top 6. Hopefully they will come, but with our current squad I think we may just miss out on the play offs. I think we may already have the players for a top ten finish, but still something missing for me if we are to scrape into the top 6. Be disappointing if we don't improve on last season.

Looks like most bookies don't give us much chance of going up, and it seems as if most think we are unlikely to improve on last season. Aston Villa are the team they like, Burton the team they don't fancy, but at least they prefer our chances to Bristol. I think we will do better than our odds suggest, but not sure about a play off place.

That's a decent price, but in all honesty head over heart that's probably about the correct odds at present...personally for me I will be looking at a top 12 finish on the betfair exchanges.
Hopefully will be able to get about 5/2 nearer the season start...now that is a terrific value bet.
Mon Jul 10, 2017 10:42 pm
I think we will be in the mix in the top half if we get the improvements Warnock still wants attacking midfielder a playmaker and an attacker in the squad and maybe we can get top 6 . I am so much more positive than we have been since relegated from the premiership was never confident in Ole Slade and never rated our chances under Trollop but in saying that never thought it was going to be as bad as it was under trollop

I don't know, it's just me and, no doubt, people will tell me I'm wrong but with Whittingham finally gone and Ward, Paterson and Damour inter alia, recruited, and especially with Saadi given a chance to shine, I think we could be looking at a very, very, very good season! I couldn't be exciteder
