WARNOCK:"THREE MORE PLAYERS TO STILL COME TO CARDIFF"

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has revealed he is still hoping to sign three more players over the course of the summer transfer window.

Warnock: "I haven't spent an awful lot of money but I think it's been good value when you look at the prices going around."

"We've picked up a couple of basement buys but I'm quite optimistic."

TWO STRIKERS & ONE MIDFIELDER WARNOCK WANTS :bluebird: :bluebird:

Monday 10th July 2017

The Yorkshireman has wasted no time in bolstering his squad ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, recruiting no fewer than six players in the summer so far.

Frenchman Loic Damour has joined Neil Etheridge, Lee Camp, Callum Paterson, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Danny Ward in making the move to the Welsh capital.

And the veteran manager has said he still hopes to sign a midfielder and two strikers during the summer, stating that he believes his side needs more firepower.

Warnock said: "I was unlucky at the weekend. We missed out on the lad Barrie McKay but you win some and you lose some.

"I don't really dwell too much on transfers that we miss out on. One door closes and another one opens and sometimes you get even better than what you're looking for.

"I've got one or two irons in the fire for different positions, I'm looking for goals, make no mistake about that, from the midfield area and from the striking area.

"Signing Bruno (Manga), I'm quite happy at the back, unless anything happens if a big bid comes in for somebody and we miss out on somebody.

"At the moment I'm not looking for anybody other than a midfielder and two forwards."

The Cardiff manager repeatedly stressed his desire to conduct his transfer business as swiftly as possible as his side saw out the final months of his debut campaign at the club earlier this year.

And Warnock believes his rapid dealings in the transfer window will only benefit the Bluebirds' bid to gain promotion into the promised land of the Premier League next season.

"It's great for the lads to get to know each other rather than being thrown in at the deep end," added Warnock.

"Every year it seems to go right to the death. Vincent and the board have been very supportive this year. I haven't spent an awful lot of money but I think it's been good value when you look at the prices going around.

"We've picked up a couple of basement buys but I'm quite optimistic."

Read somewhere we may bid for Scunny striker Josh Morris, looks as if he had a cracking season with a fair few goals and assists, doesn't look to be an out and out striker, could play the no 10 role.

Morris plays LW for Scunny. Cracking attacking player with great left foot. Could be a one season so see though that's the risk of signing him.

Has Charlie Adam signed for anyone yet?

If not I think he'll be the one to come in providing we can get some off the wage bill ( noone & co )

Scunthorpe didn't get promoted last season. Millwall, Sheffield United & Bolton did.

Morris had a great season last yr in terms of goals but he's never been anywhere near them heights before so it's a gamble

Agree...if we are to challenge this season we need an experienced proven championship striker...probably not the time to take any gambles

What about Tom Hopper he always had some positive praise when he was younger how's he done for Scunthorpe?
