I am sure neil warnock said he wanted to make 4 quality signings who could go straight into the first team... so how do our signings add up
Camp one
Paterson two but won t be fit til October
the other keeper will be back i assume
Ward possibly 3
the new french signing is he considered a squad player
mendez laing ..who knows
with Warnock trying to sign first Hayes then Mackay...he obviously feels he needs another winger
another striker?
what do you think on our signings so far and is there more to come
my thoughts are that we need one good quality midfield playmaker and give saidi a go

In Warnock I trust, no team turned us over last season and it will be fingers crossed the same this season.
However out of the six signings to date I can only see two pushing to get in the first eleven, these being Camp and Ward, Patterson probably when fit, but this realistically could be Christmas by the time he's match fit, even then there is no guarantee he will make a full recovery. The other players admittedly I don't know much about.
My concern is we should be looking for players who are better than we already have and capable of making the starting eleven.
We have been for the last four/five seasons crying out for a midfield leader somebody like Charlie Adam, horrible pulls the strings, other players look up to and can carry the ball and score goals.
In my opinion we are two players short still up front, Zahore has been away all Summer with Denmark and will be playing catch up fitness wise. when he returns, yes he had a great second half of the season just gone but will need to prove himself over a longer period. Ward who I think is a good acquisition I am not sure is an out and out striker and prefers to come in from the wing.
We still need somebody like Gallagher, he has just signed a new four year contract and would have thought Southampton are looking to loan him out again to gain more experience, can't see him at this stage pushing for a first team place. When we played Blackburn at the end of the season at Ewood Park he was unplayable. Another player that night who was outstanding and we know all to well is Marvin Emnes, scores goals works his sicks off typical Warnock player, not sure but looks to be out of contract down West.
Chris Boyd who has sadly joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free would have been another example, surely with Warnocks eye for a bargain there must be another one or two out there to be had.
I just feel we need to sign two/three players who are proven at this level and will improve what we already have by pushing for a place in the starting eleven.

Completely agree with you !!
We have to trust NW. The turnaround he performed at our club last season was amazing and to finish in the top half was testament to that.
I like the look of the signings we got so far. All sound like players who will run their socks off and put everything into a game. Our main area of concern is that creative player in the middle of the park, someone to take a game by the scruff of the neck and push forward. I agree that Emnes would be a great signing for us also. Up front, I'm praying that Saadi shows what he can do, chip in for us this season and also save us some pennies for our midfield recruitment.
Really looking forward for the season to start now and give it a good go !!

Manga, Patterson and Ward probably the key signings so far.
he said he wants a number 10 and two more strikers and I'm guessing that's where most his money will go.

agree..its easy to overlook Manga in this..but nobody not even the manager expected him here this season...its probably cost quite a bit between signing on fee, agents fee and wages too.

if we has paid a few million for a defender of Mangas quality I don't think anyone would have minded.

Still believe a centre midfielder must be the priority. We have not replaced Whitts. We need a player to create, score a few, take set pieces etc.
Adam is the man.

I don't think you can count Manga as a new signing, I know he signed an extension to his contract, saying that the player was already on our books

Maybe not a new signing however just the same as signing someone on a free. he was all but out of contract and would not have been here next season if he hasn't signed. Just as important as a new signing.

The next 2 signings are probably going to make or break our season
Resigning Manga was a huge bonus and our squad is definitely stronger than last season and we should have more options off the bench
If we are to push for the play offs we need a least one more proven championship striker and a central midfielder who can control the game.
Neither of these will be cheap...in fact they might be very expensive...I'm not sure how much is left in the kitty, but one thing I do believe is that Warnock will find them if he is given the money

Problem is we need to offload, that maybe what's holding back signings
