Heard great things about this player Annis. I think I read his passing stats were only bettered by Toni Kroos of Real Madrid last season.

2,404 passes attempted
2,192 passes completed
91.2% pass accuracy

It looks like we fended off late interest from Atletico Madrid too, many have described him as ''the player Spain hoped Koke would be''.... and Koke has 34 caps for Spain :D

Great to think you can see players like this playing for Atletico Balaeres.

I wasnt quite right upon searching. 4th best stats not 2nd best...

''he came fourth on the list of pass success percentages with 91.4%. Ahead of Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic and Barcelona's Javier Mascherano, only Barca's Samuel Umtiti (92.9%) and Madrid pair Toni Kroos (92.2%) and Nacho (91.7%) better him – meaning he's in some pretty good El Clasico company.''

Ray Wilkins must have a pass % completion of 99.9% shame it was sideways passing! So Stats can be whatever way you look at them. this players stats don't show type of pass and which direction they went? So there good on paper but that's about it. :occasion5:

For a goalkeeper? Pretty meaningless. For a central midfielder signing for a side that like to keep possession? Essential. :occasion5:

It doesn't matter. No central midfielder in the world doesn't pass forward, it will be a variety.

As a fan of a club that now has a nice history of being a passing side I can tell you that a sideways pass is very often far more effective in an attacking sense than a forward one. Leon Britton has been a key player in our successful passing game that has driven us from the bottom of league 2 to the top 10 in the country winning a major trophy and getting to the knockout stages of Europe. This has been down to his ability to keep possession, break up play and accurately direct attacks down the weaker channels at that particular time. The role requires high levels of concentration, superb technical ability and the eye to spot a pass whatever the direction.

That's why these stats are so impressive.

I have seen more games at the Vetch than any other ground in world football. And I still will happily give Jenkins a piece of my mind.... why is that arrogance?

Are you ok?

You made a point about the new player - I gave you an example of the player he is replacing because your point directly points to the exact reasons the player I referred to was so successful for us. It is not hard to follow Pembo surely? :D
